I knew I should have given her a Disney middle name

Ok, we never could come up with a Disney-inspired middle name, but she was definitely meant to be my child.

Here is DD - 5 weeks.

Yes, aww. Sweet. Now look closely at her forehead. See anything "hidden"?

Fortunately, Mickey won't stay forever. That's a hemangioma that will disappear in a few months.

Aw, what a sweetie!

Keep in mind, though, some haemangiomas can keep growing for up to 18 months before they begin to shrink. Not all of them disappear completely. But it's awesome that it's so tiny, and in such a terrific location - and so cute, too!

Yea, my other DD has two. One has disappeared and the other has lightened. DH had one on his face as a child and it's gone. At least they won't (shouldn't) last forever.

She is beautiful and it does look like a very tiny hidden Mickey.

It is like God "stamped" her you for you! :) I think it is extra sweet and she is beautiful, just like her big sister.

My nephew had one on his forehead (nothing at birth) and then it grew quite big and then disappeared rather quickly!

Glad to hear that!

My dh had one that disappeared properly, and so did our son, but my now-14yo daughter's didn't. It turned out to be a combined haemangioma (surface and deep), and it started small, then grew a lot and didn't go away completely (though it did shrink and fade some). She's had a couple surgeries for it, and has decided not to have any more, even though there's still some work the doctors would like to do.

I'm not mentioning this to worry you in any way - just to give you a little background. :goodvibes

I like the old wives tale that they're either angel or fairy kisses. Me, I go with the fairies, since I'd like to think that an angel wouldn't leave a mark! Fairies, on the other hand... they're tricky little things. ;) Either way, it marks your baby as extra special. :cloud9:

Aw, She's beautiful! And I love her little mickey :)

She's beautiful! I guess this thread answers my question about whether or not her middle name is Disney.;):rotfl:

Congrats!

Oh Allison, she's absolutely beautiful. Congrats to all of you.

Awesome! She looks like a cutie for sure! How is Big Sis handling things?
