I confess.....I butchered it!

We moved this summer & apparently our pre-lit tree didn't do so well. I pulled it out today & the lights are all crushed and several branches snapped in two!

I guess I need to go find a new one.....what a budget-buster!

Anyone have any reccommendations? I can't buy a real tree due to allergies. I really think I don't want another pre-lit tree, do they still make them without lights? (Replacing & adjusting all those lights gave me migraines anyways.)

They do still make fake non-prelit trees. However, I was at Garden Ridge this weekend and they were already nearly cleaned out of ALL their trees. You might try Home Depot and/or Lowes. They may have some still.

Good Luck. :thumbsup2

Craigslist.com is hit or miss but there always seems to be Christmas trees listed both for sale and for free this time of year. Good luck.

We got a tree at Lowes the weekend after Thanksgiving and they had all Christmas decorations (including fake trees) 25% off. When I was in there last weekend, it was now 50% off.
Of course, we went in this year looking for a pre-lit tree because we were tired of all the time spent putting lights on the tree.

Oooops! Good luck on the hunt. I was tempted to go buy a real one this year because I'm not looking forward to bending down and arranging all the branches on the fake one and my hubby isn't in the country to help me. :upsidedow

That was always my concern with the pre-lit trees.. Years ago Sears used to carry a nice selection of artificial trees - don't know if they still do or not - but it's another place you could try.. :)

There is a word for you: Fir-menator;)

This is the reason I want a fake tree, I don't like putting on the lights anymore. Maybe when we go to Lowes this weekend they will be on sale and DH will say ok lets do it. If not we will be a real one:sad2:

That's a good tag for ya.. "I killed our artificial Christmas tree!!!" I think it's cute.. and funny! :goodvibes Now where's the Tag Fairy??

Well I found a new Pre-Lit tree @ Pool City. They're all on clearance already & well picked through! :confused3

Let's hope I can keep this artificial tree "alive" :lmao:

:lmao: Good luck with the new one! I thought the whole point of an artificial tree is that you can't kill it?
