My radio station was doing a contest to win Disney Princess on Ice Tickets. Two callers were supposed to identify which Princess movie contained the songs one of the DJs was singing. They assigned each of us contestants an animal noise from a Disney movie. My competitor had to make monkey sounds from Jungle Book and I was told to meow like one of the cats from Aristocats. The contest was best of 6.

Well, I identified the first four songs within four words without my opponent making a sound so they stopped the game and gave me the tickets. I can't wait to take a couple of my Girl Scouts!

The best part is that I really wanted to go but felt foolish spending the money for the tickets since I don't have kids. This way, I won the tickets, I get to go AND I get to take some of my girls!

I'm so excited!!!

congrats Shauna!!! Good job, I know the kids are going to love it and you too ;)

our radio station has a daily contest for free lunch, 2 questions in the past few weeks were Disney questions. the first was what was the 14 syllable 37 letter word (or something like that) from Mary Poppins, can you believe it took 5 people to get Supercalifragilisticexbealidocious?

and the second was where was the first monorail ever used and still is today? I'm literally screaming at the radio it's Disneyland you idiot!!! Seattle, Disneyworld, China, you name it they said it. I think close to 30 people called in before someone got it right. If I had had the number, I would have called!

Congrats Shauna!!! :)

That will be a great show...

I don't listen to the radio except when in the van.. other wise its my CD's... which are playing in the background right now.. so I'm off here to go finish my scrap area and cut the dolls for my mom...

Thank! Isn't it crazy how much Disney knowledge we have crammed in our heads? I LOVE it!

I usually listen to my I-Pod but always listen to the morning show on this station. I totally didn't expect to get through OR to win but I'm excited about it!

Congrats Shauna!! I know you will have a blast! :cool1:

That is soo cool!

I know you probably can't take photos during the show, but be sure to take ones while you are there with you and the girls to scrap for us to see.

:cheer2: Congrats! :cheer2:

What a fun night for you and the girls. princess: Congratulations!

That's terrific! I know exactly what you mean about wanting to go, but not feeling justified without kids - my girls are way too old for this, but I was contemplating what little kid I could scrounge up when the last show came to town! Have a wonderful time!

good for you shauna! have a great time. i'd love to go too!

Thanks all! I can't wait. I got really excited when I first got the ad in the mail and then figured I would just have to miss it. I feel bad for any boys I end up giving birth to because they are going to be drug to every, single Disney on Ice show that comes to town - Princess or not!

Congrats!

which night did you get tickets for? DD REALLY wants to go, but I haven't looked at ticket prices yet.

Actually, you can take pictures just not video. I have picture from all the Disney on Ices I have been too. They don't mind, its even in the announcement I think ( I didn't go this year as it was HSM and I was at WDW).

I don't know yet. The DJ wasn't sure and we haven't picked them up. I have no idea even where they are in the arena. It'll be just my luck that they'll be nosebleeds.

I'm trying to figure out how to narrow down which girls can go with me. I can take three girls as a non-Girl Scout activity. I just don't want any of them to feel like I am playing favorites even though I have a few specific ones that I would really like to come.

Oh well. I have some time to decide. Let me know if y'all come up!

Congratulations- that is exciting. Good luck on making your choices.

What about a name drawing? They have to do something girl scout related to get their name in the pot and then you draw from it. This way, they have to do something to earn the right, but you aren't picking favorites.

Good idea, AWM. The only problem is that if I do it that way, I can only take 2 girls because I must have another adult since it would turn it into an "official" GS activity.

I need to figure out what show the tics are for. If it's a weekend, I'm hoping my friend from San Francisco will come up so we can take her little girl. Jess is 4 and madly in love will all things Princess. She would LOVE this and I would love to take her!

I still haven't looked for tickets, if we went it would be on Fri or Sat. Will let you know what I find out. Even if its not the same night as yours maybe we can meet up, it would be great to finally meet you!

Good luck deciding who goes, maybe have them draw straws, that way you won't have the guilt factor.
