Not laughing at you, Colleen, but when I saw you mention "Polish market" I immediately thought "She must be in Michigan and I'M JEALOUS!"

Yep, Michigan born and raised, living out in the country now - a lot of my food grew up less than 50 miles from here! I'd almost be willing to trade my kielbasa and chrusciki for your weather right about now... Almost, but not quite.

I so rarely get into the city these days that running around like I did yesterday has become part of the Christmas fun, throwing the grocery budget to the wind at the little markets in Hamtramck and Mexicantown.

Yup, I went today but I realized I needed a few things when I got home...so I'll go back tomorrow. They are things I need for Saturday, but not many so it will be a fast trip.

Over the holiday I'm working at the local grocery store. I'm dreading tomorrow. My shift is 9:30 to 6 and I have a feeling it is going to be busy!

I am NOT going back out there! ... and NO ONE can make me ... even though I did the majority of my grocery shopping on Tuesday, I knew I had to go out again either today or tomorrow, so I chose today ... so once again I ventured out early this morning to try and beat the crowd, and lo and behold, so did 1/2 million others, (well maybe not that many ) ... but now I am DONE and if I forgot or need anything else, oh well, it'll have to wait til next year ...

ahhg, it seems I just go to the grocery store (with a list mind you) and went I get home I realize I need a couple more things. I've been to the store three times already this week--and it's crazy busy too. Anyone else having this problem.

OP, I wasn't able to read the thread but a little trick that helps me at the stores is that I put everything in my cell phone note section
As soon as I remember something to buy out comes my cell phone and then I always have the list at the store. Hope to help
