That I have no regrets taking our 18 month old to Disney!!!

We had a great time. Meal times were trying, but overall it was an amazing trip and one we would do again.

Sure I had the comments about him being to young etc. But he "got it" and loved waking up everyday and heading out the door to whatever was next! If you think your kid will enjoy it - then go and have a great time!

Glad you have a good trip. We took our son at about that age too and he had a great time.

That's great! We took our dd when she had just turned 2. It was such a blast :) (and I had lots of fun dressing her up!).
Any age is a great age for disney!

I completely agree! Having just returned w/a 3.5yo, I looked back fondly on his first couple of trips when he just went with the flow. We had a great trip this time--but with more "attitude", preschooler style. He might not remember, but I will ALWAYS remember his first encounter w/Pooh and friends, how he almost flew out of my arms to get to them. Priceless! At 3.5 it wasn't always a given that he would be happy to see a particular character. Although he did develop a love of the Barnstormer this trip...

I'm so glad you had such a great time! Our DD was 17 months when we went, and we got a lot of raised eyebrows when we took her. Everyone thought we were crazy and she was too young. But she LOVED it! And the memories and photos I have of that trip are priceless.

It definitely changes as they get older! Still fun, but they certainly have opinions on what they want to do! :-)

We caught a lot of flack when we took our then 15 month old daughter to Disney in 2001, but it was the most magical trip. We definately took it slower, but it also forced us to really see the details that we had missed previously. I still love to look at the pictures from that trip.

How can anyone see these pictures and not understand that little ones "get it"?

I completely agree! We just took our 7 month old DS at the beginning of this month - really more for DH and I than for him - and we didn't "expect" anything from him - BUT HE LOVED IT!!!! He LOVED all of the characters (and ate each of their noses), he LOVED the rides (and believe it or not, his fave was HM - we rode it twice and he laughed through the ride both times) and we took family photos at WL with a CM and they turned out great! He may not remember the trip, but we always will as his first trip, and we have the pix to show him that Momma and Poppa always took him to Disney and so he can see what a fun time he had! We loved it so much we already signed up for next year - but we got a 1 bedroom suite b/c I have a feeling that, as a toddler, he will not sleep as easily if we are around.
