If I buy 5 day hoppers can I add an extra day on? Has anyone done this? We don't need the pluses.

Sorry, no, you can't.

If you want to visit the parks on 6 days, you will have to buy the 6 Day (if you want to hop between parks every day) or buy the 5 Day PH and a 1 Day/1 Park ticket.

Ticket Options/Prices

It will cost essentially the same (within $5) to buy the 6-day PHP vs. buying the 5-day PH and a 1 day/1 park (based on Ticketmania's prices for PH's and PHP's and the gate price for a 1 day/1 park). By buying the 6-day, you will be able to hop every day that you are there. And who knows, you may decide to visit a water park or Pleasure Island since it's included. But since you are not paying more for it, you shouldn't feel bad about not using the Pluses.

Sorry if I've confused anyone, but it makes sense in my warped mind. :D

Can the plus portion of the ticket be kept for another time? If so--buy the PHP and save the plus for another trip--can that be done?

Yes, you can use unused "Plus" features anytime in the future. They never expire. But you cannot use them to upgrade to another pass. "Pluses" have no cash value.

Hope that this helps. :)

hi,

This past October I, too, wanted 6 days with no pluses cause we'll never use them but knew it didn't exist.

So I researched all the price differences and I decided it was cheaper and best for us to buy the 5 day with no pluses and then also buy a one day pass.

The only down side was that you will have to carry to separate passes but I just used the 1 day one first...

Good luck!

You could buy the 5 day hopper (no plusses) and use one day of it on your first day. Then on your second day go back to the ticket counter and pay the price difference to upgrade your "5 day hopper with only 4 days left on it" to a full 5 day ticket. You would then be able to park hop on all days, and only have one pass to keep up with.

Your best bet could be to buy two 3 day hopper passes from centralfloridatravel.com. They are on sale until 1/17/03. I don't know what the price is because they don't post it but there is a number on their website you could call to find out if it's cheaper than a 6 day plus or 5 day and 1 day. Good luck!

I'll volunteer to take anyone's unused "PLUS" features :). We have regular annual passes and can go to the parks only. I went to Typhon Lagoon in the summer (on my mother's unused PLUSs) and really enjoyed it. However, my 3 year old DD is still too young for us to spend an extra $300 for PAPs just to go to TL a couple of times. She's also too young (or we're too old) for us to enjoy Pleasure Island or Disney Quest. Maybe in a few years it will be more "worth it" for us to upgrade to a PAP :).

My understanding of the upgrade policy is that you can only upgrade to a more expensive pass. You can't just keep "replacing" days on an existing pass. This is copied from WDWIG:
You may only upgrade it to a higher pass, not a lesser one. (Example: You can upgrade a 5 day park hopper to a 7 day park hopper plus but you can't use it to get a new 4 day park hopper).

Here is a link to the WDWIG's FAQ on upgrading passes:
WDWIG's FAQ on Unused Passes and Upgrading

Well, we did this about 2 years ago, so I'm not sure if things have changed. We weren't going to a "lower" pass, just changing a 5 day for another 5 day.

You only get what you PAID as your trade in value. So if on Monday you bought a 5 day pass for say $250.00 (I'm making up these numbers for demonstration purposes) and used one day of your 5 on Monday - then on Tues. went to "trade in" the 4 remaining days, that ticket would be "worth" $200.00 (as prices wouldn't increase in one day's time). A "new" 5 day pass would cost you $250.00 (which is what you paid on Monday) and you have a $200 trade in, so you would have to pay $50 more to "upgrade" that pass to a new 5 day.

Again, this was some time ago that we did this, and I don't know that it saved us any money. Hope this helps.
