Just want to share my recent experience as we just returned from a 10 night stay at POR. One morning I was not feeling that terrific and my daughter went out to get coffee. There was a few taps on the door and I answered it. It was a maintenance man and he politely asked if he could inspect the room or if he should come back. I told him he could inspect the room but I stood at the door and held it open while he did his inspection. He simply looked around and also checked the bathroom. He was very polite and thanked me when he left. It took all of less than one minute. Again, he was very polite and asked if it was ok to do the inspection while I was there.

Well, "room occupied" is, or should be, factual: one of more persons currently in the room. "Do not disturb" could be anything: you're in the room, or you have ten people and two emotional support flamingos, you just plain don't want housekeeping, you're stockpiling weapons...

In a nutshell the Nazi's suspended civil liberties in Germany during the early 30s in the name of SAFETY. If you give up freedoms in the name of safety, you usually get neither!

Ah..there it is.

This isn't the government. This is Disney. And it is their property. They haven't suspended any civil liberties or broken, suspended, or changed any laws.

Since there are several other threads on this topic, this thread is closed.
