Must be something in the air. DH just shaved his very cool goatee Thursday night and now looks about 10 years younger. Personally I prefer no facial hair BUT like you said, it makes a guy look older and in his case, his blue eyes more intense. When he walked into work Friday sans goatee 3 people made comments about how young he looks, one colleague even said "I can't take you seriously, you look like a kid, you've got to grow it back".... sigh. Since a part of his job is being able to pull off an intimidating presence he'll be growing it back.

I've known dh for 17 years, and the only time he shaved his beard off is for our wedding day...hence, I do not know who the guy is in my wedding pictures! I much prefer facial hair on guys. Oh well, it grows back if you want it to!

personally think facial hair is a Plus! I would not recognize the dh and hope he does not take it off....though every once is a great while he mentions it
