I went to the site today and I found that Priceline had given me another $50 for hotels, $10/Day for up to 5 days :cool1: :thumbsup2 :cool1: Last time I received a reward like that was in July and we parleyed it into 3 nights at the Sheraton Four Points on International Drive for $21/nite

This is one of the benefits to signing up for a Priceline account. They don't tell you about it, you have to sign in and check under My Rewards. Last time I looked they had a discount on a vacation package, worthless unless you fly and book through them. But I kept checking back and the $50 showed up today. Now we can book our october trip, hopefully we'll do as well as we did in July :woohoo:

Thanks for the tip! I've used Priceline many times and never been disappointed, but I was unaware of the rewards program.

Interesting, I never knew about this. I just checked and I also have the bonus. Too bad it has to be 2 nights min. I need a hotel for one night next week.

okay, HOW did you get to stay at the Sheraton for only $21/night? That is an incredible deal!! Me and DH stayed there a couple of years ago and we payed the regular room rate (I think like $100/night) but of course that was before I really knew how to find a deal.

That's a really nice hotel for $21/night!!!!

I checked my Priceline account & I got the $50 too, but mine is for an entire package.. not just hotel. I must book air travel as well.. I live in Fl & usually only use PL for Orlando... oh well, looks like I won't be using my bonus they gave me.. And there is no way I can send it to anyone, it is linked to my account...:sad2:

We received a $50 bonus from Priceline, $10/day for up to 5 days. At the time, from doing research on sites like biddingfortravel, betterbidding and this one (look for the priceline thread in this section) that hotels in the Universal studios area had been winning bids for $30/night, usually the Hyatt. So I started my bidding for a 3* in the Universal studios area for $20 + $10 bonus. I got turned down. I then added Sand lake for $21 + $10 and got accepted at the Sheraton. Technically the winning bid was $31/night but our cost was $21:banana:

If you are unfamiliar with Priceline bidding strategies, when you place a bid for a level Priceline will never look for a bid below that level, only higher. So a bid on a 3 star will actually be a bid for a 3 star, a 4 star and a resort. If you bid in an area that only has hotels below 3 stars they will do the search at the higher price but only in the area that has hotels at your level. That is how I used a bid at Sand Lake to get a free bid at Universal :thumbsup2

Yes it was. We hope to repeat the deal for the third week in October when we go back again :cool1:

Keep checking, I had the same offer a few days ago. Also, if you have a spouse have he or she sign up also that will double your chances.

Depending upon your level and how much you can save it may be worth it to book 2 nights and just stay one.

Since you mentioned the 2-night minimum, another thing you know is that it is good for one use only That means if you want to stay 3 days in an offsite hotel, 3 days onsite at WDW and another 2 days offsite you can't split your bonus up between the 2 hotels.
