4pm. THAT from DU site.
I thought it was 3.

IF people are arriving late (traffic mess, accident, etc), with a phone call to DCL, what is the REAL actual latest possible boarding time (and I don't mean with using Disney Air, etc)

My check in information shows 3:45 is the latest. I don't think the ship waits for you even if you phoned in.

IF a passenger is in contact with DCL about a delay, the "latest possible boarding time" will be set by DCL. Depending on various factors, they may or may not be able to wait. However, I wouldn't count on the ship waiting even if you are in touch about your delay.

It's always been my understanding that the published all aboard time is 3:45pm, with the expectation that all passengers must attend the safety drill at 4pm. That said, there aren't actually "boarding" times given, DCL uses PATs (Port Arrival Times) and the website indicates all passengers must be aboard by 3:45pm.

Enjoy your cruise!

Once when we were on the Magic, the ship actually waited for a late arriving DCL bus from MCO. It was after 4:00 when it arrived. But there's no way I would risk planning on getting there even near the latest time.

Yeah, a DCL bus is one thing. They know who is on the bus and that you are on your way. I think of them scanning your booklet as sort of a pre-registration thing. It starts the process. Your own transportation is something else all together. They would only have your word that you are on your way - no way to verify it.

Over on another forum where RCCL was being discussed, someone completely missed his ship because even though he, his wife, and their kid were IN THE AREA they decided to go sightsee in Miami basing getting back on close to as late as you could - and ran into traffic - construction and/or a wreck. They tried calling, but the bottom line was they we're beyond the point for the passenger manifest and were denied boarding.

So no. If on your own transportation I would NOT cut it close if I wanted to make the ship anyway.
