OMG.... I have avoided your post all day just because I remember how much it sucks having to say goodbye to your best friend!!!!!! Next month will be 2 years since I had my buddy Barney put down. Reading your post just makes me want to cry..... I am so sorry!!!!!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had to put my beloved sheltie-mix to sleep a couple of years ago. It's so sad to say goodbye to our furry family members. :grouphug:

oh Im so sorry the best dog I ever had was a Standard Poodle. We had to put him down when I was 16

they are truly amazing dogs.

Thanks everyone. Last night was just horrible. Sebastian slept in bed with me his entire life except for a few months of crate training. I miss him so so much. The pain is so overwhelming. Winslow my other Standard Poodle sleeps on his own dog bed.

Our little ones sure do become part of our lives, with so much unconditional love from them, every day. Hope your Winslow is doing well, I bet misses his buddy too. :hug:

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

2Poodles, I am so sorry. I had to put my 14-year old sheltie, Lily down last year. I still think about her and miss her. I know what you are going through.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have a special love for cockers and on one of the forums that I am involved in they have-Rainbow Bridge. A place to memorialize your loss. There is one link I copied above that you can click on and watch if you want to. It is a sweet music video that explains what Rainbow Bridge is...where puppies go after they leave us.
It is a real tear jerker but it blessed my heart to think about my beloved Prissy.
You might too find it comforting also.
