I am not much of a cook at all and figure it wouldn't hurt to buy one of these grills-it seems like it will be easy to cook chicken, steaks, etc.

Your gonna love it! :) their quick & fast.....you can cook without any added fat!..a great way to go! :):):)

I love my GF grill! You can cook chicken, burgers, hotdogs fast and easy.

I use it to make grilled cheese sandwiches for DS. You can make super quick quesadillas in it, too... you'll love it!

I LOVE my GFG. When SIL gave it to me for Christmas, I just kind of went Uh thanks. I'm a terrible cook, but I love it. It is worthwhile to make the burgers alone. My 10 year old son can make his own burger. Thanks for the websites.

To clean: let it cool down. Scrape with the special plastic scraper that comes with it - then wipe down with a sponge.

I've learned a lesson: sometimes I don't get around to cleaning it the evening we use it - but I HAVE to remember to wipe out the little drain dish that comes with it - otherwise the cat licks it clean! It's not usually too bad for him except when I use worchestshire sauce - he throws that up! (with mostly hardwood floors - he threw up on the carpeted stairs - still trying to clean that out of the carpet!)

I love our grill, we have a small one and wish it was bigger. I love the food on it, and you can hardly over cook anything. In the winter it hits the spot, when you can not grill outside...I hope you love it as much as I do, and believe me I am in no way considered a cook :)

DS16 is CONVINCED that I need one of these.

Gee, I must be doing something wrong because I haven't liked anything I've made on my GFG.... Or I'm keeping my meats on too long since everything seems to dry out.

Glad you're all enjoying yours!

Hey Mishetta! Wanna sell it?? LOL!!!

I made myself a steak on it last night and figured out quickly that I was not going to enjoy cleaning out the grease from the little dish. From now on, I'm going to cover the dish with a bit of foil and after the fat cools, fold up the foil and throw away. I try to make my life as easy as possible!

I have one, and I LOVE that thing! I especially like it for cooking fish like salmon or tuna. Yum!

I don't think I'd put foil on the grill if I were you. You'd do a lot of damage to the surface I'd think.

Actually to clean them, keep them very warm (more of HOT) and then take a THICK sponge and wipe it down while it is still heated. It comes off very nicely. If you don't do it immediatlely after cooking, then turn the grill on again and let it get warm. That plastic scraper thing is a waste.

Mishetta, are you using the suggested cooking times? I think a steak only takes about 5-7 minutes to do. Chicken just about that or a hair longer.

I have a small George Foreman grill and LOVE it. I would love to have a bigger one, but DH is too devoted to the Weber. ;)

my bachelor BIL loves his!!!! When we get our house where I have more room I plan on getting one!

:D I love doing the footlong hotdogs on ours. Hamburgers are great too but if you don't clean it right away, it is pretty gross. I don't care for steak on the GF but that could be because I am cooking it too long.

I bought one of the large ones (not the largest but the next size) about a month or two ago and I love it! I cooked shrimp on it for the first time last night. It wasn't bad, but I overcooked it. You just have to play with the grill a little to find the best time to to cook the food the way you like it.

I learned a tip here on the CB about cleaning the grill. I think ti was posted by Simon V, but I'm not sure. After the grill has cooled down, place a wet paper towel on the grill and close the lid. After a few minutes the grill is easy to wipe off, then just clean off with soap and water! It's very easy to clean that way. :)

I meant I was going to cover the little drain dish with foil so I wouldn't have to wash it.
