Turning 40...check...(dangit
) Going to Vegas...check.. getting married (again) ... check. Thank goodness it's not all happening at once.
And they're off! Who are they you ask? Why my wonderful (43 yo) "of course we can do your birthday at DLR fiance" and me the "OMG if I really have to turn 40 it's gonna have to happen at my happy place" disney junkie. Wait... she "travels with teenagers"? That's right. I do. However, my teenage cohorts are no longer teenagers and mom is not footing anyone else's bill for this trip so
she has opted to stay home and take care of the cats thus eliminating the "they" by not needing to invite any of her friends.
The turning 40 trip part is all planned. We're heading out at whatever time he wakes up since he wakes up well before me about 95% of the time. I'll whip up some muffins or something (and pack the car) the night before so we can just grab n go and we'll make short work of that 6 hour drive. We'll be staying at HOJO and should be able to be in the park for lunch (corndogs... the only time I ever eat them). Should be a fun filled evening of rides, snacks and shows if I am so inclined. Chances are we'll turn in a little early since we'll need to check into our room and will probably have been up since about 4 am. Why he wakes up so insanely early I have no idea.
Day 2 is D day. My 40th birthday. We begin our day with early entry followed by breakfast at Carnation as is tradition on every trip. Lunch is a shared Monte Cristo and Pommes Frites at Cafe Orleans after which we'll hop. Finally the WOC dinner at WCT. Obviously we'll be taking in WOC this evening. We''ll see how tired us "old folks" are after the show. If we're still goin' strong (c'mon caffeine
) then we'll hop back to DL.
Day 3 we have a later than usual for us brunch at Goofy's. I've been here but he hasn't so it should be fun. Then rides, rides, shows, and more rides until we just can't take no more cap'n.
Day 4 is our half day as we sadly have to return back to Phoenix this day.
We'll do any shopping this day, grab Mickey snack for the folks at home and ride our favs again.
