single-handedly convinced my grandma, mom, AND aunt to fly to disney for the first time. All the past times (5 trips?) we've driven down from Virginia. That's about a 14 HOUR drive, plus 2 hotel rooms on the way. I'm ecstatic! I have a feeling everything will be a LOT easier...


Can you guys tell me your experiences with the Magical Express? Good, bad, I want to hear them all! Plus, is this service free? THANKS!

Yes, it's free. Check out the threads tacked to the top of the page for LOTS of info! Going to use it the first time for ourselves this December!

Almost all of the posts about DME have been very positive. I loved using it. FREE is good, too!

DME started on 5/5/05, and since then has served about 2 MILLION guests. It was started as a trial program to end in October of 2006, but has since been extended (and still FREE) through at least 2011. The fact that is is so popular and has been extended tells me it's been a successful service. And as for me, like I already said, I loved it and found it very convenient. It was so nice to check in my luggage at my home airport and then not see it again until it was inside my WDW resort room!

I used it in October and we are using it again next week. I was very pleased. When we checked into the BCV our room wasn't ready yet. We went to Epcot and called the number they gave us at about 3 PM. Our room was then ready so we headed there and when we reached our room, our luggage was already there.
