Oh dear, do I feel like an idiot right now... I swear I checked the pockets, but it was one of those cargo shorts and I must have missed a pocket! The good news is that he's had the phone over 2 years now and our contracts are up. So in cell phone years, his phone was pretty ancient and it wasn't working properly anyways. We'd already been looking into getting a new service since our contract is up. Still.... I am such a dork!

Washed mine a few months ago--it recovered for the most part..but it is becoming weird again.

I actually dried it out in the dash of the car--Florida heat worked very nicely on it.

Here's where I confess to laundering DH's mp3 player... he still doesn't know. He wasn't happy about spending the $$ on a new one either. In my defense he ALWAYS empties his pockets for me, and he must have missed it.

Why are you blaming yourself? You called yourself an idiot and a dork. Don't you expect him to empty his own pockets before he puts them in with the dirty clothes? I'd be blaming him... JMHO.

Well it's better than dropping it in the toilet. Been there, done that! The toilet was clean but never the less, I went right to Verizon and got a new one.

A bit hard on myself I guess, but it was pretty funny and after the initial "oh my gosh!" moment I was laughing at myself. DH usually does empty his pockets for me. Sometimes he forgets an occasional dollar and some change, but his cell phone?! He must have really wanted a new one

My other cell phone adventures include DD drooling all over it when she was under 1 year old, and leaving it to bake in the Florida sun in the car while we were on vacation at - where else - Disneyworld! And losing it at the Olive Garden, never found it. See a pattern here?
