Without telling my DH I changed our ressie to the GF. With his airline discount it made it to good to pass up. Of course I am squeezing out every penny I can until our trip in October but I'm going to wait until we actually pull up, go into the lobby and yell SURPRISE!!! I've started saving all our change and stuff-thank you to a thread for getting me inspired but I just can't wait to see his face when he realizes we are staying there. I'm bursting to tell so I knew I had better post or I'll spill the beans!!

What will be your reason to drive over to the GF...I mean you have to get him there, before you surprise him. Are you going to tell him you're going there for lunch? Will he be the one driving?

I'm surprising my DD(28) & DGD(7) with a stay at AKL...they think we're staying at CSR the whole time. We might split from CSR, but the last 5 nights will be at AKL. I'm sending them to Discovery Cove on the 29th of October....I'm going to switch resorts while they're gone...then have the towncar driver bring them to AKL after he picks them up instead of CSR. However, if a good code or AP rate comes out, we'll be staying the entire 8 nights at AKL and it'll be a surprise when the driver pulls up to the lodge!

I'm in the process of trying to keep two Disney secrets from my family and it's killing me.

In June we're finally able to try our dream resort Polynesian. DH thinks we're doing GV, but I've been able to save enough to upgrade to conceirge. They keep mailing us stuff, but luckily DH thinks it's just basic Disney media stuff and hasn't read any of it.

Then, in Jan. we're surprising the kids with another trip to Disney so DH can run the 1/2 marathon for his 40th B-day. We also signed the kids up for the kids run, so they're going to be thrilled. Now we're trying to come up with a cool way to surprise them.

It's so lonely keeping the secrets, but if I can actually pull it off (30 more days) it will be so great. Good luck with your secret, it will be worth the effort.

Gee, that is so neat that you guys can keep these secrets. I keep spilling my guts as soon as I find out trip related info. You all have inspired me to try to figure out some way to surprise my family. It won't be easy since I have been blabbing left and right. At least on the cruise, they made it easy for us and we did the Magical Moments pillowcase and cookies surprise and even THAT was difficult to keep a secret. Well, good luck with your surprises! Sounds like big fun.

It is killing me, DH was home last night and I just about burst. How I'm going to surprise him is that we are being picked up by Tiffany Town car. I'm gong to call TTC before we go and let them in on the secret. So we'll just head off from the airport and pull up to the GF. I may not be able to make it inside but at least I can jump out of the car and yell surprise. I made the mistake of going to Deb Willis' site yesterday and looking at the GF pictures that nearly sent me over the edge.

I don't know how you're going to make it until Oct.

How about having the driver of the limo say something like "I hope you don't mind, and we don't normally do this, but would you mind if I stopped by the GF just to drop off a package quickly. It's for a major client and I'll just drop it off with the valet." Then when he sees you getting out of the car, he'll really wonder what's going on.

I'm very excited for you just reading this! My DH would LOVE to stay at the GF some day. On our trip in April DD and I took a day off from the parks and took the boat over to GF to the Spa and then had lunch...what an absolutely gorgeous resort it is. I hope you have a wonderful time and have fun keeping the secret!!

I LOVE Disney secrets!! I would love to surprise the kids with a trip to WDW some day. Someone on the boards posted that they picked the kids up from school and whisked them off to WDW. I Love that idea!

I'm keeping a secret too. Our trip in Jan. will span 3 out of 5 of our family birthdays (horrible planning on our part ) For Christmas I'm going to give my dh a gift of the Richard Petty driving experience. His birthday is during the trip so I was hoping to plan it for the same day. I'm busting because I've been squeezing pennies till they scream and my bank account is growing, he saw my bank account and can't figure out how I managed to save so much. I need to save extra for this little surprise and the more I save the bigger the 'experience' I can give him!
