I Just Got Spam By A Dis Member. But Lava Boy Saves the Day

Yes Im sure this new character is him. He's followed sweet and I to several of our rooms trying to get back on our list under this title. And naturally has been accused of scams even on this title already.

But think about this ppl. Back when he supposedly lost his most prized possession.....then made a pity me room on vmk that he was leaving vmk. How many ppl trusted him and flocked there to his room?? Thats what I find funny in all of this. I hear things like.....I respected him, I trusted him. Why because he had inferno or flips? Ppl its virtual junk, nothing more. Inferno does not make a person. How strange, the ppl we choose to look up to in a virtual forest of greed and lies.

And you think he acted alone?

Well Im sure hes lovin all this hype. Why we feeding his ego?

As I've stated previously, banning his IP will do little good. I'm sure he knows how to change it.

If he changes his IP, he can log right back in. Banning his character won't do any good either. He's already learned that it takes little work to scam people and get stuff in no time at all.

It seems as if this is a game to him. That he's not doing harm to anyone. So, as long as he finds it fun for him, he will contine doing it.

Well if this is same person he took 5000 credits from me and still have not got them back I felt sorry for him after something bad happened and he said he needed it to do something but would give it back next thing I knew he said ttyl.

Yes and he's probably loving all the attention he is getting, albeit negative attention. He's obviously starved for attention, given how he's behaved in front of me before (purposely showing off his wares, such as stitch, green car etc.).

Maybe if we just stop talking about him and his antics, and stay away from him and his kind in game, he will tire of it all and go quietly into that good night. That would be my hope, anyway.

I would like to know the name and mules of this person (even though i know the main already...) so i can keep an eye out.

I say ban both the accounts and the IPs, if they can tell all of the characters on the same IP, they should ban them all then the IP.

And how did "COMIC" hack into the accounts? how did he get the information? Did your friend tell them?

Also just wanted to note that VMK can not only ban an IP address they can also ban a computer from any further access to VMK. My understanding is once that computer has been banned then there is no way anyone can use that computer to log onto VMK.

I am not up on how this works so if someone with more knowledge on the subject cares to post and explain, please do.

The most popular room in all VMK has to do with Bewaring players of the 2 players' schemes. There are at least 5 other rooms concerning them!

and i bet those ' friends ' of his with the stitch hats that were in his room were all his little mule buddies.

EDIT: The top 3 rooms on the Pop List are Wanted rooms! This should REALLY get staff's attention! these players are serial scammers!

I'm in one of the rooms and lots of talking about trying to report him (and getting no where with it). One person keeps saying that people can't do this to him (the DIS guy) because he is her family. Then she reported he was currently in a trade room (shocking). When they tried asking her which trade room, she said she was going to play pirates and promptly disappeared. Some people speculated that this was him on a different account.

Really, vmk can't do much. They can ban his account and his IP, but we all know he already has several accounts, he would just make more and change the address.

People that scam things from people, or help others to scam, are worth dirt!



While I generally follow these rules myself, if you want certain items such as Inferno, beta, Stitch hat, Eye pin, etc, most of the time, you have to do multiple trade windows. It is the fault of both the players and vmk.

VMK is at fault by making items so rare. The players are at fault for being willing to trade away so much to get one item.


This is my thought, too. I've been playing since September '05 and I still don't have Inferno, Stitch hat, most beta, green flips or Sparrow. Anyone that has so much of those items that just started playing gets them by:
a: getting very lucky in many trades
b: getting lucky by having a very large family or group that does not play VMK booking a trip to DLR and ends up getting a ton of Stitch collecitons
c: having some very in-game rich friends giving them lots of free stuff
d: scamming people out of their items.

Unfortunately, if this person knows how to change his IP, this really won't help.

Ive gotton inferno 7 times in the game and all 7 within a 5 month span ive lost one in a scam but other then that ive traded well and earned it the first inferno you could call "luck" since I pretty much only offered alot of basic quest and a few pirate quest items but then I traded that inferno for alot and traded half of that stuff for another inferno then so on so I guess I could call myself a good trader but sadly People do scam for these rare items which is pointless? why scam?

Hmmm, the room I was in closed and a message from VMK Staff came saying "this room is being emptied while the owner redecorates." Had a few defenders in the room, one going as far as saying it was the players faults for being scammed by the people in question.

ETA: Looks like the rooms are being shut down by staff. I've seen room names being changed to "unacceptable room title" and am getting messages from friends saying they are all getting that "owner is redecorating" message.
