I wanted to add a day on to the begininng of my stay, but since we are arriving at 9 pm I wanted room only. My orginal reservation was room and UPH passes using a CUD code that has now expired. She could do it using the same rates if I went with both, but not room only. UGH! So $363 for room at CR and UPH's for all 5 of us or $286 for just the room. Any ideas as to how to get around this? Why can't she book it using the code and then take off the passes after she books it? I was surprised that if we changed nothing we could even use this expired code. Oh well I guess we will have to stay somewhere else the first night.
Thanks for listening

You can't use codes that expired.

Hygene's suggestion is good. Book a separate 1 night reservation. However, if you are going before June 23 I don't think you will find a discount (assuming you don't have an AP). Most codes for that time expired in March.

This probably won't work with your package code, but for future reference, if you buy the UPH passes at the resort, they will let you chop off the first or last day of your stay (I did this in December with no problem - they actually just asked how many days I wanted). CRO, on the other hand, will ONLY sell UPHs for every day of your stay, no matter what.

The other suggestions of booking just 1 night in a separate ressie are probably best. Check mousesavers.com to see if there are any codes you can use. You will probably also need to make a special request that you keep the same room between ressies....

I understand that you can't use expired codes, but what confused me was she was able to add one a day using an expired code. She gave me the same price. I just didn't want the UPH's which she couldn't take off for the day.

You didn't say if you were flying or not, but when my arrival time is after 6:00pm, I find that staying at the Hyatt at the Orlando Airport is MUCH better (and cheaper) than going directly to WDW that day.

I can relax, unwind and read, then get a good nights sleep and pick up my car VERY early in the morning and get a whole day in at WDW.

This might be an alternative suggestion so you can keep that excellent package you've already found for the rest of your stay.

Good luck! ;)
