the question now is where will I be getting the UHP? At the hotel or at the park entrance (I'll be staying at ASMu).

You will get it at check-in at the hotel. It is also your room key, and your charge card for shopping around WDW if you want it to be.

If you are getting in early on the first day you can get your park passes (which is also your room key) at the resort even if your room isn't ready yet and head out to the parks. Have fun.

I'll be there at around 11am. Will that be a problem?

Will I still have the chance to get non-smoking room as well?

No problem. You will still check-in at the resort, leave your bags with the concierge, and head to the parks.

A room will be assigned to you, but you may not receive the room number until it's ready for occupancy. Disney resorts always do their best to meet room requests that are noted on the reservation.
