I just got dusted!!

I went onto the member website to check something out with my points and found out I got a 2 BR BW vuew for my October trip!

I was on the waitlist for BW view and figured if it came through, great, but if not preferred view would be fine, too. I've never stayed at BW before, so now this will be a special treat for our Mother/Daughters trip. (My 2 sisters have never even stayed on site before, my Mom has stayed with me at WL. I'm so excited I got pixie-dusted!

There are two point-categories at BWV.... Standard and Preferred.

But "Preferred" could be "Boardwalk View" or other "premium views" like the pool view.

The difference is... at BWV - you can "guarantee" a "Boardwalk View" if it is available. There are no other DVC resorts at which you can guarantee your view.

(The exception would be at VB. The Ocean View Inn Rooms guarantee a direct ocean view, but there are no other views with that type of room category.)

just curious, did you have an automatic wait list or were they suppose to call you first? I have the call 1st wait list set up, but I have seen numerous posts that people are surprised at seeing it happen on the DVC members website. I still have awhile (12/3-8), waiting for BWV, or BCV...........

Congratulations!! Isn't that the greatest feeling to see that your waitlist came through? I'm (not so) patiently waiting to see if my waitlist for a BW view for NYE comes through. I've already had one clear (the night of 12/26), so I'm hoping NYE will come through.

I had the automatic wait list set up. I didn't want to worry about missing the call and not getting the view if it was available. I would have been happy with any view, but the BW view will make it extra special!
