Hi all,
My DD and myself went to DC on Saturday. It was a beautiful day with the high around 88 degrees. Our dolphin swim was at 1:35, and the 75 degree water was still cold to me! We just wore the vests, not the wet suits. It was a wonderful experience and I did purchase (4 ) 5 X 7 pics of the swim. My 13 y/o DD is much more photogenic than myself. I got 2 pics of us together with the dolphin, one of her kiss, and her dolphin ride.
I've been to the islands snorking before so the reef was really not a big deal to me. My DD however loved it.
I really think my favorite thing there was the aviary! We went in 3 different times. I took my good cameras in before getting wet at the beginning of the day. I hope I got some good shots. I'm a bird lover so this was really my thing. There are so many different and beautiful birds. Most are also very tame.
Lunch was wonderful, we ate after our dolphin swim and there was no line.
We stayed at the Residence Inn. My DH dropped us off at DC. DC has a Range Rover that will give you a ride to SW. We took the I-ride trolley back from SW to the hotel. It was easy. There is a phone at the SW stop if you need DC to pick you up there. The Rover driver told me they had around 750 guests at DC on Saturday.
We went to DW on Sunday, see report on other forum, then to SW on Monday. I thought SW was crowded for a Monday. The Shamu stadium was full for the first show. We always love SW.
My DD and I ended up in the front of JTTA. Only a 10 min wait. (we had already been soaked on the the rapid ride on Sun. at AK) We got soaked again, but it was a lot of fun. I don't do upside down coasters so I did not ride it. We did do they Pet's Ahoy show . It was really cute especially for small children.
We came home today to face hurricane Isabel! Oh well!
Had a great time, if you have any questions, as away!
