Yup, that's the current AAA rate. I have a booking under it right now.

Usually those email codes are the "best" available, so I'm going to stop looking for a room-only code. Sounds like AAA is the best way to go. It's too bad airfares weren't a bit nicer right now, or I'd go ahead and move the trip up to value season. Those rates are VERY nice.

Hmmm, I'm confused. I just booked CSR with an e-mail code for Nov. 13-18 at $119/night. The reservationist told me that was a better rate than the AAA rate by about $13 per night.

Does that sound right?

Yep, me too. We went for the first time based on an email and have never gotten anything since. I have written, called, etc but not a thing!

Yes, it is a better rate than AAA. Rack rate is 155 (plus tax). AAA discount is 15% which would bring it down to 131.45 (plus tax) so you got a good deal. Was that a pin code or a public code you used? room only or package? Thanks

I think it was a pin code I used, for a room only booking. Here's what happened...

I called to book our reservations with a AAA discount. When the CM was verifing my contact info, I told her she had my old e-mail address. I jokingly added that that must be the reason I'm not getting any pin codes e-mailed to me. She jokingly replied that she didn't think so, but then said, "Hang on. Actually, we did e-mail a code to you recently at the old e-mail address, and it is valid for the dates you are looking at!".

Sooo, that is how I got my pin code, and that is why I don't know which one it is! So I did good, huh? It pays to be chatty with those CMs!

We took two trips last year, one in late June and one Dec. When we called to book the Dec trip the CM told me that we had a 'special pin code' assigned to my name. I believe that it gave us the AAA rate for the value season. But, I never received an email or postcard about this rate. It also must have been a reservation of "firsts" because the CM actually told me about the pin code without me asking about deals-something I understand the CM's are not in the habit of doing.
I vaguely remember something about the pin code showing up because we had just had been to Disney so recently, or was that the CM pulling a rabbit out of their hat without really knowing how or why we had the pin code?

Tomorrow call AAA ask for a quote for your trip. They will call Disney and check if any rooms are awailable for your dates in the AAA catagory. If you want to book with them, you will need to take out a membership. It only takes a couple of minutes to join on the phone.I believe it is $61. But if you save 200 it is definitely worth it. Works for me.

I had a reservation for October 14-21 with the Disney Visa offer for a Fort Wilderness cabin - this includes 8 day tickets with the Water Park option = $2,357.22. I received a pin code at the end of last week (Thursday afternoon, I believe), so I called the number on the e-mail that night. The woman quoted me a room rate of $209/night (without tax) for a total of $1646.

In terms of my nightly rate, I believe that I made out better with the Disney Visa (though not a significant difference).

Maybe I should call back and have them quote on the same package with the pin code so I can compare apples to apples.

My neighbor, who goes to Disney often (and goes on the cruises, too) has never gotten a pin code!! She said the pin codes are usually better than any other offer available.
