I just came back from my first appointment with getting a spray tan for my upcoming WDW trip. I'm tired of always "glowing in the dark" when I'm there. I go again on Friday AM for the 2nd spraying that they recommend. This was done by someone spraying me directly, not the machine as I guess this makes for a more complete cover.

Anyone else ever get a spray tan? Did you like your "color"?

My DBF's mom got it done for her son's wedding. She figured she had to be sorta tan in August as mother of the groom. :) It looked kinda orange at first (but then again, I saw her the first day) and by the time the wedding rolled around she looked like she had a nice, healthy tan. I'm interested in trying it myself. Certianly more healthy than the tanning beds!!

How long is it supposed to last? How much does it cost?

I believe it should last for about 10 days or so. I guess it slowly fades off, per my co-worker. I paid $50 for the 2 applications, here in western Mass but it's the only salon around that does it. I think it's a bit more to have it sprayed on by the technician than the machine as they are more thorough in covering all sides of your legs and arms than just the front/back like the machine does.

I've used tan in a can many times, but have never had someone put it on me before. I've always had good luck doing it myself. I know some people have trouble with it being blotchy or orange, but I have it down to a science. :)

Snoozan, where do you live? I've never heard of this before. Where is the place that does it? I'm in Wilbraham.

We have several "spray tan express" places in my area and the one area that people complain of is streaking down near the ankles.

A co-worker had it done right before she came to work and it was weird watching her get darker as the shift went on! She said she wouldn't get it done again though, her DH didn't like the color and she also complained of some streaking.

It faded fast on her as well.

Just to warn you, our news station did a story on the sprayon tans. And the tanning places are suppose to have you wear ear and nose protection(might just be nose), but most don't. According to the gov't(there's an alert out on it) the spray is NOT to be inhaled but the mist is so fine that just holding your breath is not good enough. So you might want to ask your tanning place for the protection that they are suppose to supply, just to be on the safe side.

Dawn-The salon I went to was in Turners Falls. I know there's one in East Longmeadow, too, as that's where my co-worker went. That one was the booth but mine was sprayed on by a technician so there were no drips & I believe it makes for a more even "tan". PM me if you want the name of the salon.

I've got some color today, which is better than my usual "glow in the dark" white I usually am. I've noticed a couple of spots on my hands where I'll need to scrub off some excess color, but it's nice to see some color on the underside of my arms. My legs could use a bit more color in spots to even things out, but that's why you go for 2 visits the initial time. My DH just said he hopes I don't look like a zebra when I'm done! I'm not too worried about that!

If that's the case...it shouldn't be too hard to find you! lol :D

See ya there! :Pinkbounc
