I just got a save 15% by renewing my AP

Now I have a regular AP, not a DVC one, I became a member this year so would I save 15% on top of the DVC renewal rate pass? I already bought tickets for my December trip. I am assuming I cannot use those tickets towards this unless I am at the park and activate it? This is a card I received in the mail today.

I get this every year around renewal time. You don't save an extra 15%, you would just renew at the DVC renewal rate. You can apply the unused tickets towards a renewal, but only in the park and only within a certain time period before and after your current AP expires.

For example, I have the DVC gold AP. My renewal rate is the set DVC renewal rate. I don't get an extra 15% off because I got that card in the mail. it is just simply telling me that a renewal is less than a new AP.
