after hearing about all the lost ressies I looked on my disney vacation page. according to online I have NO ressies made. I printed them out though so I am not going to worry about it. I am going solo and I will take the printout to the designated place and time and show them. being just one I think I will be ok but I will not go online and try to redo them. we all know it will be near IMPOSSIBLE to get them so hey I am going with it and act like I am clueless to it all.:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I'm not calling to verify any of my ADR's - I figure it's just asking for trouble. I'm trying the same strategy as you are - I've got all my confirmation numbers and they are darned well going to accommodate me whether it's in their system or not!

If you just log in to DisneyWorld.com, the dining does not show up under your account. You have to enter each confirmation number separate and then they pop up. It's pretty lame it doesn't link to your current reservation

I hear ya on that one. I tried to confirm my ressie's and the unknowledgeable CM said there's was none under my reservation # and name. Ok, so I called back an hour later and the CM (Casey) was more then helpful pulling up all my ADR's and confirming them for me. But yes, if mine were lost for sure I felt like either cancelling the trip if they weren't gonna be able to accomodate me. I'm sure they would of been able to magically make room somehow.

That's exactly what I was going to say. :thumbsup2 That Disney website irritates me sometimes.

That's my plan....act clueless. I think I would freak out if I went online and they weren't there. I've got my printouts and I'm going with that.

act like I am clueless to it all

1) Not a good idea.
2) People cancel and change ADR's all the time.
3) In many cases, they mess up, then wish they kept the old one.
4) They show a confirmation number or recite one at the podium.
5) The host/hostess are wise to this ploy, especially with crowded eateries.
6) You may be put onto a wait list, or worse, not allowed in.
7) It is always best to confirm.
8) If there is a error, there still might be time to correct it.

NOTE: I remember fondly(?) a woman running up to the desk and screaming at me that "Disney" messed up the ADR. All I did was say, "Sorry". She bellowed and yelled anbd bellowed a while longer, then left when she found out there was nothing I could or would do for her. I would not throw someone else out because her ressie was not on the computer. And, no, she did not confirm. Disney lives and dies by the computers.

I called today to book a fireworks cruise, the CM offered to look up and check all my ressies, some were under my home # (those that I had booked with other CM on the phone), the ones I booked online were under my cell #(because the system asks what # can they contact you under during your vacation), I had several that she was unable to find and she did a search using my zip code?? and they showed up, so if they can't find it under one thing try another, I have seen other people say they had them under an old phone number they was no longer theirs but for some reason the disney site used that for their ressies. I would prefer to check and make sure I don't want two disappointed children when we go to Disney....

Now thats the statment of the century!!!!!

If that the case with all of the issues noted with resort resies, ARD resies, I can say Disney is dead, gone, packed their bags...............:lmao:

Unfortunately this is true! I saw it a couple of years ago at Le Cellier. A lady was really going off on the CM saying she had her ADR confirmation number and didn't care what the computer said. She demanded a manager be called, but in the end she was turned away and stalked off, yelling that she was going to guest relations and was going to have both their jobs. Our names were called about that time and as we were walking in, we asked the CM if that happened very frequently. He laughed and said unfortunately yes, that when people can't get in, they will sometimes try to give a fake ADR number. They will simply take one of their real ones and then change the last number or two, then throw a fit at the podium. He says the CMs are wise to it and so can't afford to make an exception or too many people would hear about it and do it. Consequently if the confirmation is not in the system you are not allowed in.

Yesterday, after making my ADRs online, and then calling for my CP pkg ADR, I found that I had overbooked on one day. I couldn't figure out how to cancel it online, so called Disney Dining. I got a terrific CM, who was really helpful. After my original CM had told me that there was no availability for ADRs for the 8:15 CP, he told me that there was. I didn't change mine simply because I preferred the restaurant I got for the 6:45 show.
But, that CM was able to find my current ADRs...he asked me, before I mentioned that I had an ADR for CP already, if I wanted to keep that one...since I had called to cancel my ADR for Coral Reef, which is where I ended up booking for CP...leaving me with two seatings!!! He just wanted to be sure to cancel the right one!!
So, obviously, they can see the ADRs you already have....at least that was my experience.

I had the exact same problem ~ some under my home phone, some under my cell phone and some under my zip code :upsidedow

I've been having problems w/the online system the past few days too. Everything comes back as not found. Sounds like others are seeing the same thing, so evidently there are still some bugs in the system. Considering how new it is, I can't say I am surprised.

I finally called a CM & she was able to check everything for us so I know as of yesterday my ADR's are still there.
And we too had ADR's under different phone #'s... like someone suggested, I wonder if the computer is somehow picking things up #'s from our account & criss-crossing them somehow?!? :confused3

Just to be safe I'll probably double check the day before we leave (either on-line of by phone) and then when we check in have the concierge at the Poly print out our ADRs.

I did our ADRs online and I got an email confirmation for each one. The only thing is that if you booked several ressies at one time, they are all on one email. You have to scroll down until you reach the end of the email. One of my emails had three confirmations.
Also, you are so right about the phone numbers. Try your home and your cell before you deemed it lost.

We are DVC members, so I emailed DVC and asked why we didn't just get a summary email with all of our ressies or why they couldn't link it with our hotel reservation. The email I got back said that it is a new program and these things could be added in the future. I would think it would be pretty easy to link everything together, so maybe it will happen soon.

I wasn't sure if I should bother calling to confirm my ADR's or not...after reading this thread, I think I'm definitely going to! :)

Well I print off my list, take it with me, never check in advance because once I make them I am good to go but I don't act clueless. I have had three occasions when they told me I don't have an ADR and I have remained calm but insistent. If they keep looking they can trace the number (apparently) and tell me what happened to it. If they tell me it was cancelled (once they did) and on what date I just tell them not by me and I am the only one in this group that knows what is going on so either they allowed someone into my account or there was a mistake on the the computer's part. I certainly can't be responsible for a computer glitch.

And even if you confirm today who is to say they won't disappear another day?

I have always been seated and although I would not throw a fit if turned away I would definitely be talking to guest services about it.

This is really sad that people would make up or falsify confirmation numbers. Just be responsible and make reservations in advance. I already confirmed all of mine online. I also printed each full email sent from Disney on each ADR. Even though it will be a pain, I will be taking each printout to my reservation, so that I not only have the confirmation number as proof, but the printed email with my name, date, time, restaurant etc. There is no way they can deny my reservation with all that proof.

You'll be okay with the conf. number. :thumbsup2Whispering Canyon didn't have us in the system when we showed up with our conf. number (yes, it was real, we didn't make it up!) and she still got my family in. She saw my spreadsheet and said, "oh, you're one of THOSE people...Obviously this is a mistake on the CS line". It was only that one that was lost though. maybe the CM didn't save it when we hung up...

Careful! We had a confirmation number for lunch at Akershus a few years ago and when we showed up, they couldn't find us in the system and refused to seat us. Imagine the disappointment of the 3 little girls in our party who were dressed in their princess dresses, all ready to have lunch with the princesses!

So if it's a popular restaurant, they won't always find a way to seat you, even if you have the number in hand.

So, you make the reservations, have printed confirmation (which I think is smart no matter if you are going to a show, a dinner or a resort)and show up at the restaurant ready to eat (at the right time)...

Why on earth does the responsibility NOT sit squarely on Disney's shoulders at that point? If Disney overbooks a TS place, that is Disney's mistake. Of course they should accommodate you if they allowed the booking in the first place, the question of how to accommodate your party is not your problem, it is Disney's. I get that they cannot seat everyone if a place is overbooked (physical impossibility) but they owe those turned away (who DO HAVE ADRs) an apology and if they are smart, they would offer some form of compensation for the guest's inconvenience due to their mistake.

I wouldn't throw a screaming fit or make any sort of a scene but I guarantee that if I knew I had a valid ADR I would keep 'discussing it' and going 'up the chain' until it was made right. I always make sure to carry my printed confirmations with me (for anything I have made advance plans for not just dining) because I know that issues can come up at any time and also that I sometimes get things wrong too, I once showed upon the wrong day to eat at Le Cellier:lmao: but by looking at printed ADR, I could see that it was MY error and I apologized, had a CS meal that day and came back on the right day. ;)

NO GUEST should ever be made to feel as if Disney (or any other company) thinks they are lying when they are standing there with PRINTED proof. When Disney makes a mistake (and they are responsible for their computer system not me) they should make it right. I don't doubt that sometimes some guests try to 'get away' with things. However, CMs who are so cynical that they won't even take into account an official printed Disney confirmation are providing poor customer service.
