I'm a nurse and have been working PRN at the local hospital. Our local hospital has a LOT of patients with a low socioeconomic background and it makes working in a hospital that much harder. Our workload has increased two-fold since I went to work there and the pay has not increased at all in the last 5 years for PRN nurses.
Well, I sent in a resume on the spur of the moment and I have a new PRN job in the next town (20 miles) that is paying me $1 more per hour to start and it is NOT in a hospital at all. It is a urological outpatient surgery center. No weekends, no holidays, no phone ringing at 5 am and the hospital begging me to come in. I start next week! I am so excited.

Good luck in your new job. Shirley
