I decided to get a rental for 5 days instead of 3 days for my upcoming Feb. trip.

I previously had a compact, 3 days for $89.00--now I have 5 days and it is only $135.00! :thumbsup2 I think that it's worth it to have the car for an additional 2 days for $45.00 more!

Wow! How did you get that price?

Well....

I went on the Alamo website this afternoon--clicked on HOT DEALS and choose the deal that said something about 5 day rentals...used my Entertainment coupon and contract number. The base price was $129.00 less my $15 coupon.

Now, when I went back on the website tonight to duplicate it...I couldn't get it to give me the same price! :badpc: So, I don't know what's up! :confused3

I don't know if it mattered that I was on during the daytime?? Seems kind of wierd! I'm glad I printed out my confirmation! ;)

My advice would be--just keep looking and trying different combinations of codes, etc. and hopefully you'll get lucky! :teeth:

If you are a Costco member it looks to be a couple of bucks cheaper and a upgrade coupon is available from the store.

You're right, keeping trying. I got a great deal for April on the Equinox at 7:00 am and in the evening it was 60.00 higher. Also happy I printed my confirmation!

I also got a great deal for my trip this week. Feb. 2-10 (8 day rental). I got a minivan/uplander for $160 total. My base rate is $120, used the walmart code and $20 coupon. This is probably the lowest I've ever gotten a minivan for. I've also gotten some great rates from Alamo for my late April trip. I have a mid-size SUV for 2 week rental for $260 (includes all taxes and fees). My daughter got the mid-size SUV for 1 week rental and her total is $101 (includes all taxes and fees).

Is that total or before tax and fees?

The $135.00 is the total price (including taxes and fees) :thumbsup2

I should also mention that I am picking the car up at CCC not at MCO--we plan on using DME.

I just saved another $11.00 on my 2 week rental at Alamo. I just checked and using the BJ's discount and $15.00 coupon. I got a Chevy Trailblazer for $324.51 for 2 weeks. June 17 to July 1. I think that's really good.
