I got one too - and for the first time (
EVAH!!!) it actually applies during the time we will be going to WDW. Has anyone actually costed this out? We don't typically have "sit down" meals while we're there, so I never really considered signing up for the
DDP (i.e. too expensive). But with tickets, hotel + DDP, I'm wondering how close it is to what we would normally spend without the DDP.
Hotel: I figure 9 nights at Pop Century is around $900.
Tickets for 4 - another $1,200 (3 adult and 1 child 10 day Park Hoppers from
Undercover Tourist)
Food: This is the tough one. We take a cooler and make our own breakfast. Last trip (10 days) we ate at Hollywood and Vine and the SciFi Diner. We would have liked to get into the Whispering Canyon, but it was booked solid. We did a lot of counter service (Pecos Bill's, Garden Grill, etc.). I would think it averaged to less than $100/day for the 4 of us, but let's say another $900 (i.e. $100/day for 9 days).
Total: $3,000.
Pin code offer:
Free
Disney Dining Plan
when you buy one of these 4-night/5-day vacation packages at select Disney Value Resorts including accommodations and Theme Park tickets.
The $1,388 offer applies during our stay.
Presuming I can book 2 seperate 4 night stays back to back, I'll still have to tack on an extra night's hotel, tickets and meal expenses - which makes this offer very close to what we would normally pay. The
incentive with this deal is that we would likely eat at better restaurants, more frequently (provided I get my act together and don't miss the 90 day window).
Am I missing anything?
