Was at PetSmart yesterday semi-seriously (or so I thought) checking out one of the local animal rescue groups' dogs that were up for adoption. These are all animals that have were close to being euthanized at Animal Control, but were rescued by this wonderful group of volunteers. I found the most adorable small terrier-mix just cowering and shaking in the back of her cage. Her name is Emily, and they think she's @4-5 years old. I took her out to hold her, and she was just the sweetest thing in the world. Kisses galore, wagging tail, snuggling in my lap. Just fell head over heals for her. The adoption fee is $110, but she's already spayed, had her shots, on heartworm preventative, is housebroken, and comes with 2 months free pet insurance. That sounds more than reasonable to me. DH isn't too keen on the idea, though (we already have 3 dogs), but I think he'll get over it--he's gotten over getting the last three.
On the other hand, my motto is, "What's one more?" I've thought about her all day, and keep looking at her picture on the rescue's website. I just feel the need to give her a good forever home...
What to do???
