I Just Confused Myself

probably because I have never been in a situation where I might have points left over at the end of my use year . Question is this:

If I book a trip now in October of 2003 using points from my use year that ends August 2002, are those points that have to be banked first? What a wonderful dilemma for me to have for a change.

You would have to bank the 2002 points into your 2003 use year.

It doesn't matter when you book - the dates of your stay determine what points can be used. If you stay falls within your 2003 use year, you must use points that are also in your 2003 use year. Those can be either "actual" 2003 points, points that were banked into 2003 from 2002, or points that were borrowed into 2003 from 2004.

If you are talking about points from your use year that ends in August 2003, yes you will need to bank them to use them in Oct. 2003. If you did mean August 2002, it's too late, those points are gone. Diana

yes, I meant 2003, still having trouble getting into this calendar year.
