This one I think is either escaped or abandoned, because she came right to me when I brought food out, and was very lovable. Gave me relatively no trouble at all, even getting her in the carrier and such. Currently she's in our spare bathroom, but my friends down the street are probably going to be taking her home to foster in their spare bedroom until we can find her owners, and if we can't, they get another cat
If y'all remember the saga of the little stray calico girl almost 2 years ago back at the apartment, these are the people who still own that other stray.
The fact that she was so sweet and trusting and lovable, even while handled and with strangers, tells me she definitely had good home until recently. She's very skinny, though, which says it's at least been a couple of weeks since she's been home.
Signs are going to be posted tomorrow in this and the surrounding neighborhoods, and we'll be calling some local vets and the local shelter to see if anyone's reported a lost little girl.
DH's reaction was hilarious when he walked outside and I called to him to bring me the carrier please. Can't believe we just caught another stray.
I'll get a picture of her shortly.
(And yes, she'll be getting a vet visit to see if she's microchipped and make sure she doesn't have FeLK or FELV or worms, etc tomorrow and before she's exposed to the other cats)
