I JUST CANNOT STOP LAUGHING...underwear?

underwear for Christmas! Of course, doesn't everybody get new underwear for Christmas?! (plus a whole lot of other "good" stuff).

Not sure how the tradition started, but in our family when the person opens the underwear they have to twirl it in the air and the whole family sings the can-can song. And part of the fun is that I (as the underwear giver) try to disguise which package actually contains each person's underwear. As our family has expanded (oldest two kids are now married) we've had to explain this tradition so we don't freak out the new family. My younger DS is a college freshman and had been dating his GF for over a year this past Christmas, we decided she has to wait until next Christmas, and if they are still dating, she can get underwear too. This year she had to settle for candles, stationery, and CDs.

My mil used to give me underwear almost every Christmas. They were like granny panties and about 4 sizes too big. I always had to ask for the receipt to take them back.

DH's family was all the contraception I needed at the time.

The "contraption" was some machine that cooked hot dogs. I don't even eat hot dogs.

They just got home and DH and our DS went to see them. Gram's bought the boys Texas baseball hats (very nice).

I received a huge jar of honey from a real bee???? Have no clue what I am supposed to do with that as I do not like HONEY at all!

AND DH got a package of (6) "Fruit-of-the-Loom" briefs. He just walked in with them...........WHATTTTTTTTTTTTT.....I am laughing my OWN *** off at THIS gift. UNDERWEAR. I just had to POST this......and it gets better, DH thinks this is a LOVELY gift.

Is there another kind of honey that isn't from real bees ? And I never knew that Fruit of the Looms were souvenirs from my state .

My Mother who is 78 years old bought me a pretty ornament from a lingerie store I am known to frequent to hang on the tree. It was a red globe with "La Senza" on it and a red satin loop. She thought it was perfect because I shop there all the time.

The funny thing is that when I opened the gift I realized that the globe opens up like those Leggs containers years ago. That come with nylons in them.

I opened it up and discovered, surrounded by the rest of our family, that my Mother had given me a red g-string with fluffy feathers on the... ummmm... front part.

We all refer to it now as ~ The Christmas of the Festive Red Stripper Thong.

ok thats gross,, bee fragments? not a very good bee keeper if there are,, beeswax maybe.. which is not bad,, but if there was anything else in my honey i would probably toiss it. and i love honey, i cook with it, eat it on biscuits and pancakes, dip my chicken into it, a good beeekeeper will not let any honey that is not perfect out of his s hop, as that is his product, and the best advertising he has.

I asked DH "how did bf know your size"? DH says actually I think he got them for himself and realized they were not the right size and decided to give them to me?

As for the honey from real bees when in doubt, throw it out . YUCK

LUVDZNE: You are sooooo right about the HONEY....I have hidden it as DH does NOT want me to throw it away....but give me a week or two, when he forgets about it....it will be H I S T O R Y!!!

AND re: the underwear....YES, it was still all packaged OR those would have been H I S T O R Y as well....

Ah, but how many of you got a wedding gift wrapped in tin foil? I did. DH's family got us some contraption from the Finger Hut Catalogue and wrapped it in Reynold's Wrap.

I found this awfully amusing.
