My LSS just had a garage sale.
What they did was sell table space ($5.00) and people were able to bring in scrap stuff they wanted to sell. A lot of people cleaned out their scrap supplies. They LSS gave them blank prices stickers bar coded with their info. The people wrote the prices in and the LSS rang up the sales. The people didn't actually get money, but credit to be used in the store. It was a zoo! I spent $16.00, but got a lot of stuff. I got a lot of different fibers, about 30 sheets of 12 x 12 paper (some with matching stickers) and few corner punches, a 35 pack of markers, and some storage containers.
I think if someone did this, it could be a great fundraiser!

Plus, everyone had to walk through my store to the back where the tables were set. It was very busy and I also had a great day in sales. One lady made over $700....she had ALOT of stuff to sell!! One friend sold rubber stamps (she use to be a consultant for one fo the stamping companies). She sold her brand new and gently used stamps for 25¢ to $5.00 each.
I may try to send my Dh up there one night after work.. I only want one thing in particular but I'm sure it's already gone..
