I just called Disney about codes

Thanks for the tip - we have been to Disney about 7 times in the last 5 years and have never received any codes. My account was checked off do not call or email also. The nice rep on the phone in guest relations asked if I was calling cuz I read on the Dis board - told him yes and he said thought so - been getting a lot of calls because of the thread.

I just went to check my status on the website. I know that I have gotten offers in the past, including the 40% off Pluto mailer last year. I looked to see what my partner's status was and her's was totally closed off. I updated her preferrences. So maybe our odds will increase now.

I really hope we can get a code for our December 2008 trip! Maggie

Wow, wonky database issues abound. I get most of my Disney mail here at my home but some goes to my exDH's house, including the AP newsletter. Never went to Disney when I was married, bought my AP since I moved away. It can't be changed because they don't have any record of exDH's address.

I'll make sure to call about the "do not call or mail" list. That would be so sad to be on that list!

I'm going to check mine again, too. I was told over a year ago that I was on the "don't call/don't email" list, and asked to have that removed. Still nothing.

We've not stayed in a WDW in over 4 years, and have never gotten a discount offer (on reason we've not stayed on property in so long). I've made a few ressies that I latered cancelled in favor of renting off-site, and they always have our old phone number from 4+ years ago, even though I've asked them to fix it several times.

UPDATE: I checked Disneyworld.com, and apparently have an old account from a long time ago, under an old email address (which I fortunately still have access to). I've since forgotten the password, but had it sent to that address. I suspect that if I log in, that account is marked as "do not call/do not email".

I not sure but I don't think that waltdisneyworld.com and CRO have the same data base. I checked to receive everything on the WDW.com web site and the CRO still had me as do not call/write/email. I would still call the CRO.

I am really hoping for a code to apply to our trip.

I just called and they checked me and said Im not blocked...she also said they usually only release codes during value seasons...
