pinned to my name and the lady said they don't do that on the phone. I said I have always called to see if I had offers pinned to my name and I want to see if there is one now.

She looked- said I hadnt been there since June 05- wrong, it was June 06 and said there is nothing, thank you have a nice day and hung up :sad2:

Should I even try to call later with hopes of getting a different CSR or not? Is she correct?

I have never received offers via email or snail mail, yet had them pinned to my name when I call. My email addy and snail mail addy are always correct in their system though

:confused3

You can try to call back.

When I called last week to add the Dining Package and order my tickets, my CM acted like she was reading right off of a script. I would ask her a question and she pretended she didn't hear me.

I asked if she knew of any discounts that may be coming out and she asked me if I wanted insurance with this package.

i asked her if there was a pin code to my name and she asked me if I was flying or driving. Just in case she needed to book airline tickets.

I told her my dd-15 would be with her h.s. band and not with us, because the school changed their Easter Vacation. She got all huffy and said, Oh, so the package is for 2 people not 3. Um yes, did I just tell you to take her off. It was like I upset her system because I changed the number of people going.

I wanted to make a payment with my VISA card, but I thought forget it, I'll call back and get someone a lot nicer. The wierd thing was, she kept her voice sounding friendly, but yet was very mean.

I would definitely call back. I had a CM too that was of NO HELP what-so-ever to me. I called trying to find out if another code I had would help on my current reservation, and he didn't even try punching it in, and said "nope, it's the exact same price." I was discouraged, but tried calling back again, and the last two CMs I had were extremely helpful, and punched in every code I gave them. So don't give up, try again! :goodvibes

A code pinned to your name? :confused3 Ok, I am lost. Could someone please explain what this means? Thanks!

CALL THEM BACK! I called a couple weeks ago to get prices for a trip for next Nov. and she said " We had a code under our name that was good for Jan-Feb, if we wanted to go then." I said we couldn't but asked what the discount would have been. She said it wasn't technically out yet so she couldn't tell me what the "deal" was. So, yes they do still have them and I didn't even have to ask, but definitely keep ASKING!!!

Thanks, I will call again.

I wasn't sure if things had changed since I have not called in a few months. I will try on my lunch hour again today- Um....I have WDW on my speed dial on my cell ;) Yes, I realize it's a sickness.

Thanks again :thumbsup2

Do you have the toll free number? It's 1-800-828-0228 Good luck!

The system doesn't automatically update your last visit, the agent updates it. The last time you called they may not have updated it to be your last visit in June.

Have a nice day...

I just got a code today for November - December so I would assume that January-February is not out yet. The code was not great. $286 per person based on 2 adults per room in a value resort for 3 nights with 3 day tickets. Not sure what that breaks down to but does not seem that cheap.

I got that too. I didn't think it was that great of a deal either.

I called the toll free number also. We already have reservations for March- so I asked the CM if there was a CODE or a PIN number attached to my name for a possible discount. After several questions, and some long pauses, he told me that I had a code for January and February- but not March. He was a very nice person, and told me that I should call back again later to see if I get one for March.

When I asked him what the code would have gotten me, he told me that it was for 25% off room rates, on room only packages. I would LOVE to have that in March- so I'm crossing my fingers! Looking for some pixie dust I guess!

Help... I'm so lost here :confused3 "PINs" "Codes" discounts attached that I don't know about? would someone be kind enough to explain?

At times Disney releases discount codes ~ sometimes to the general public or it may be to some households. Disney notifies people by email or you can call and if there is a code offer for your household. Each code is for a certain time frame.

Some CM's will happily check for you, others will tell you they cannot give you the information.

No one has any idea how it happens, as there seems to be no rhyme or reason. I got several in one year and none another year.

Be sure to get an account at www.disneyworld.com and check off the box that says you want to receive offers from the theme parks. No way of knowing it helps. but that way they do have your email address.

Good luck!!

p.s. Called this evening, had a very nice CM who said a new computer system will be in effect Tuesday and she did not have access to household info until then.

YES! A travel agent can have codes applied. My TA is wonderful & actually keeps checking for me - because she emailed me about 2 weeks ago that she had another code applied & saved me $104. However I don't think most TAs will actively do this for you - it probably cuts down on their commission. My friend has her WDW trip booked thru a different agent & when she heard about my new code, she asked her TA to check for her as well. She said her TA was very hesiatant & beating around the bush, until my friend said fine she'd call WDW herself & check. Of course then the TA claims to have called WDW & the discount wasn't any better than what she was paying. I'm not convinced she checked at all. So I've found it's best to either A) do the homework yourself & find the codes & if they are a better deal, THEN call the TA to have them applied; or B)find a TA that is willing to keep checking for you!

Wonderful, thanks for the info!
