I just brushed my teeth with diaper cream!

Once when ds was 4, he was in a stage where he copied everything that dh did. We were getting ready to leave for preschool one morning, and he came downstairs with a big grin on his face, claiming that he did his hair..."Just like Daddy!" (Dh puts gel in his hair each morning.)

From far away, I just thought his hair was wet, but when he got closer, I caught a smell of mint....after some investigating, I discovered ds used "gel" for his hair....that was actually Vicks Vapor-rub!!! At least he smelled minty-fresh for the next few days, and his teachers commented that all their sinuses were clear!

I have to tell you...I showed this thread to both my mother, and my DH...they were both rolling!

I can't stop giggling here guys, and it's hours later.

DS 4 has been down with an intestinal thing for the past 2 days. Every time I think he's getting better and offer him toast or crackers I end up having to clean up the mess.

His poor little bottom is so sore from all the wiping that he's gotten a rash. I have an old tube of Butt Paste diaper cream that is left over from the diaper days so I've been putting that on him.

Well...needless to say...I'm exhausted (and he is too)! After the second night of very little sleep I woke up this morning and put the Butt Paste on my toothbrush and started to brush.

What's even more shocking is that the tube of Butt Paste is bright yellow and the actual cream is a tan color. My toothpaste tube is blue and the toothpaste is light blue. I looked right at the tan "toothpaste" as I was loading my toothbrush and I still proceded to try to brush my teeth with it!

I decided that this is one of those 'you've just got to laugh about it or you'll cry' moments! Motherhood...Oh the joys!

Guess you must of thought you needed to be a better butt kisser.

As if this thread isn't funny enough, when I clicked into it, the banner at the top was "Are your teeth Yellow?" or something like that. I nearly choked on my coffee.

I've actually sprayed my hair with Lysol spray, thinking it was my hair spray.

My mother once sprayed her hair with Raid ant/roach spray thinking that it was hair spray, and this was right as we were getting ready to leave for church. My mother has since passed away, but we all still laugh when thinking about this.

To the OP, nothing like being sleep deprived! I hope that your DS feels better soon!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. DS had his first full day with no 'issues' and his appetite is actually back.

I am happy to report that the Butt Paste is no longer on the counter in the bathroom. (And I'm secretly vowing to myself that it will NEVER find it's way along side my toothpaste again!) The Butt Paste is now going in the far reaches of the bathroom closet.

Some of these stories are hysterical. I'm glad my mommy moment caused so many giggles.
