I just bought my first scooter!

Im so excited and wanted to share that I bought my first mobility scooter! I was so nervous buying it, I had done a lot of research and visited several local dealers and I had also read some older threads here from folks who had purchased and what their advice was, but was still feeling unsure but once I had made the purchase I was really happy!
We are going to Disneyland this weekend and can't wait to try it out! We are also going to Hawaii and staying at Aulani for the first time next month and I've been worried about getting around that big resort, the airport, etc. Now I can just be excited to go. So thank you to the DISability board...you guys have been a big help! And if anyone has any advice or suggestions on being a scooter owner, I'd love to hear it!

Congratulations! I know you will be happy with it. I have a Go-Go Sport and it has definitely paid for itself versus renting scooters. The only maintenance we have had to do is replacing the batteries after about 4 years of Disney trips.

Love my GoGo scooter and hope you enjoy yours! Now you need to go by the Dollar store and get some decorations for the basket!

A suggestion: I like to stick a length of 2” painters tape to the tiller. When I remove my key and before I give my scooter to the airlines at the gate, I pull off the tape and stick it across where the key goes. That way, if it rains while they load/unload my scooter at either airport, the key hole and thus the electronics are covered.

They used to give you 3 sets, blue, red and silver. I was able to order a second silver and that’s what I spray painted pink and use for spring, red I use at Christmas time and silver for Halloween - I’m thinking of painting the second silver set purple. Blue I use for any other time.
