I just bought a PAL mickey for $3.00!!!!

I was at my goodwill looking for things to sell for my ebay, and they had a PAL mickey new in the box!!! It wasnt working in the store but I was more than willing to take a shot for $3.00!!!! so I get it home, put new batteries in it and IT WORKS!!! SOOOO I cant decide if I should keep it or sell it. Its so cute I really want to keep it, plus sometimes it repeats itself and if someone buys it they may complain about that....anyway just wanted to share

We bought a Pal Mickey a few years ago. DD (then 2.5) loved it at first. He rode with her in the stroller and she enjoyed that. But, he quickly became something else to keep up with through the World. Now, he goes with us every trip, but most of the time he stays back at the resort and rests!

But, finding a NIB for $3...I think I'd be tempted to sell on eBay. My eBay selling app places the average selling price at $95.24. That would be a nice contribution to the vacation fund!

Do these even work in the parks any more? We borrowed one from my nephew for DD first trip to the world back in 2008. We thought she would enjoy it, but after the first day, PM stayed back in the room. It was an older model one, so the information it provided was totally useless. In AK it was giving times for a show that didn't even exist. Also, you could not hear it at all.
I simply can not figure out why it was not designed to be upgraded. As a toy and a collector's item it's cool to have, just don't expect it to be useful in the parks.

A couple of years ago we took ours back to the World with us and it was giving useless information so I took it into a store to complain about it. The CM was great and he told me that he just needed to be updated. He laid mickeys nose on something and in a few minutes he said Mickey should have all the correct information. After that he worked great for the rest of our trip. The CM told us that every time we brought him back to the World just take him into any gift shop that sells them and get him updated. Just thought I would share this for those of you who say you are getiing wrong information.

They no longer sell PAL mickeys so I doubt they can be updated anymore, and if they can then I bet it won't be for long. These are considered to be more collectors items now than useful for information in the parks. I wish they still sold them, I always wanted one and kept putting it off :-(

I wouldn't have thought twice about selling it for $250!!!! In a heartbeat!!!
