for $400 per person CDN including all fees/taxes etc.
That is from Winnipeg to MCO, connecting through Minneapolis.

Not a bad price at all for that time of year. :thumbsup2

We usually use NWA and get fares for around $250-300 in off season. One thing to keep in mind with NWA is if the price goes down for the same flight they will rebook you and give you a credit for the difference (not sure how common that is on other carriers). Their customer service people have always been excellent to deal with as well when they've changed their schedules and we've needed to change flights as a result.

We've had excellent service from them (aside from them wrecking our luggage...4 bags damaged in 3 trips, 2 to the point they couldn't be used again). On the bright side they do give us credits for the damaged luggage so the next time we fly it'll be very cheap.

I have been watching prices for our trip in Oct..still sitting around 450 ish including taxes..hoping for something a bit lower but I have a feeling I won't get that...

I see we're not the only ones watching for October deals already :lmao:

We also booked NWA for March. We live in Thunder Bay but it was way cheaper to drive to Duluth Minnesota and fly out of there. It is only a 3.5 hour drive. Our tickets were $319 each including tax. Out of Thunder Bay our tickets would have been over $700 each.

My family is flying NWA from WPG to Fort Myers in 5 days, and the best we could get was $410 total per person. Same thing for the two years prior. Good to know we can keep a watch to see if the price drops. Usually the price holds, minus last year when prices dropped after the passport changes.

Congrats on booking!!!

We love flying NWA out of YKF-nice small airport-no hassles.

Price so far has been quite reasonable! This will be our fifth time.

When I priced NWA in Oct for this month it was about $1200, but with 2 stops. One was Wpg-Mn, Mn-Ind, Ind-Or. I booked with WestJetVacations package with flight and hotel for $2770 for 10 days.

We must have lucked out. We booked our upcoming January trip in late July for $319 return per person taxes included with only 1 stop-over in Minneapolis

:confused3

No way! I'll watch for sales in July. THANKS!!! :) Next year my second dd will be 2 and saving money with that extra paid seat would be really nice. Orlando prices are usually better than Fort Myers, but I can hope.

I forgot to say that there is only 3 of us. Those are some good prices.

I really like the email updates that I get weekly from airfarewatchdog.com. You choose which airports you want to receive info for, i.e., Toronto, Hamilton, Buffalo. The Buffalo fares are usually cheaper, so I've been reading the park & fly posts w/ much interest! Sometimes there are suprises -
Latest update had the low NWA fare YYZ-MCO fare thru Dec 4!
Orlando, $155 RT * No min. stay, Travel thru Dec 4, 2008 (NW)

We are lucky being in Toronto to have the choice of Buffalo or Detroit and since Detroit is a hub for NWA you can get great fares there - I just saw $147 return during our March break - we booked for $167.00 return!! Don't fly Saturday or Sundays if possible. I found Tuesday and Thursdays are their best rates!!

That's a great price for NWA from Winnipeg to MCO. The best I could get last year for spring break was about $600, and that was booking almost 8 months in advance. This year, though, I had enough Air Miles, so all I paid was the tax :goodvibes

The $400 flight on NWA has 2 stops, right? I am watching for the early flight 730am with only 1 stop, getting into MCO at 230pm. That flight is over $600!

Interesting to note that I looked at purchasing the departure as a one way and the return as a one way and certain combinations came out as less than $400.88.

As an aside I do not like the new NWA reservations site. They list all the flights with 2 stops first and I am always hunting for the flights with 1 stop.

have to say..not liking thier new site either.
and yes..i only want one stop as well...

I priced NWA and their quote was well ovr 600.00 from Toronto to Orlando (YYZ-MCO) I went with United for 360.00 per person

Cdn Friends of Pooh, can I ask where you are located. I think have read some of your posts before and think you fly out of Edmonton, am I right? This is where I fly from too. In Oct 2007 we paid $347 inc taxes with Delta, for one stop flights.

When you say $250-300 in low season, what are you considering low season?

Thanks
Vickie
