I just got off the phone booking our first DVC stay. We will be staying at our home resort AKV from Oct. 1-11.

We usually travel during busier times of the year due to school schedule. By the time we got around to figuring out when we could go this summer, AKV was booked for our room type and all days, so our first trip to our "Home" resort won't be until 1-Jan-2009, when I was able to take advantage of the 11-month window.

We just booked yesterday too- and will be staying in a Grand Villa Feb. 1st-6th of next year, moving to 2 separate Studios on the last night.

If anyone is willing to share any DVC newbie tips for our group of TEN PEOPLE- I'd be glad to hear them!

We booked ours for Nov. 5-12. We are staying in a 1 bed Sav. view. I can't wait to hear them say "welcome home" I am so excited I can't stand it!!!!! I've stayed at AKL before, but this will be our first time to our home!!!!
