Hey girls- first post here!
I am having a bit of trouble understanding it all!
I just booked a 7 night stay at the Grosvenor Resort, Nov 20-27.

Is this a good time to go?
Should I change to a week earlier to avoid thanksgiving etc? I want to avoid lines/crowds!

I booked 7 nights, 4 day parkhopper plus passes for me, dh, and our 3 children for 1843.43.

Can I get it cheaper by booking differently?

Any advice? what do I NEED to know?

For 5 people and passes, that sounds like a great deal for staying on property. You'll love staying next door to DTD, too :D

Consider calling them back to see the pricing the week prior and you might find a better deal though since alot of places charge premiums during a Holiday Week.

The lines/crowds will most definitely be worse during a Holiday week as well...

Ooh, i forgot about Thanksgiving <duh>
I just called back and made it for the 13-20 of Nov. price was the same but crowds hopefully will be smaller.

My kids will be 6,6,and 4, will they let me bring a wagon in?

If you are a fan of Christmas decorations, you might want to try and go the first week of December, crowds are very light that week and the decorations are wonderful. Also, it "snows" on main street. I loved our trip that time of year. Very little in the way of lines.

No, sorry. Wagons (things that pull behind you) are not allowed. But you can bring or rent a stroller. The parks all have double strollers in addition to the single ones. Maybe the little people can take turns if they all three don't fit in a double.

Hi, Steph!!!
Funny meeting you here, lol! I thought you were a PEA, lol!
Good move to avoid the crowds -- the first week of December is also okay, but keep in mind the "snow" on Main Street will cost you extra as it is done only for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, an event that takes place at the Magic Kingdom after closing.
Also, this year the Christmas Parade was filmed on the weekend of the 6 and 7 and the Magic Kingdom was pretty crowded.
I am so excited that you're going!!!

ooops, i got busted board hopping! lol! It's all booked and ready to go- now i gotta figure out where i'm getting the money from! lol!!

Dh said last night we could go whenever i waned to, as long as I could pay for it. I booked today before he could change his mind! lol:earseek:

Hey Steph,

Another "Pea" here. Although lately Ive been considered a former Pea (Tims Jen).

My dh and I go every Feb. so if you have any questions feel free to email me. You can still email through peas too.

Id be happy to break our budget up for you so you can get an idea of what things cost.

Congratulations on your trip, and watch out for these boards! The closer you get to the day you leave the more they suck you in!!!

Tim's Jen -- Hi! I recognize you, too, lol!

Steph, watch out -- this is as addictive as Peas! I alternate between here and there.

There is a bunch of good info here!

Jen! I've missed you hon!!!! I would love to see your budget if you get a chance!!

I'm headed to the budget board soon! I feel the suction starting already!
