I have been reading for a while and just had to ask a few questions. Thanks for any help and I hope I'm doing it right...We are seriously ready to take the plunge, but are getting worried about availability. We are planning to take dev points and use them for a few short trips this year(mainly off season).Our question is this, what are usually the easiest accommodations to secure with short notice?

Tough question. Some depends on your time of travel, but it seems as though SSR is the easiest to get on short notice. I also would not base my purchase on the incentives. Buy because you want to stay on the property & will use it at least every other year.

Depends on what you mean by "this year". If you mean between today and 12/31/07 you may have difficulty. It appears from reports on these Boards that availability at all resorts between Halloween and the first of the year is spotty at best. You will have to be pretty flexible. Availability between October 1 and Halloween is pretty much gone at BWV, BCV and VWL.

If by "this year" you mean between today and this date in 2008, you should have no problem.
