Ok, i am fed up with vmk. First of all, why has my 2 month old CL application not been looked at? Second, after the maze fiasco, which you chalked up to ' ghosts ' instead of saying you were wrong, when a bunch of people asked ' why don’t you open more rooms to make lines more manageable?' and today we have to wait in lines of 550+ people? Lastly, the prizes for the costume contest? That is just sad and rude to the players who worked hard to come up with the costumes. I would NEVER see this at a real Disney park, and why should your virtual parks be ANY different from the real ones?

then why do some get it while others dont? hi there you get inferno, then hi there, you were just as good as teh last person but i think you should get a mickey pumpkin....
 

its the vmk help system that none of us ever hear back from... which is down due to technical difficulties which means they just dont want to hear it from mad vmkers

The are not accepting CL applications until December 1st.It takes a while for them to look at letters.You aren't the only one who sends them you know.
 
And I have heard from them,want proof?I can e-mail it to you(forward) if you like.

i know that, i sent mine in before the cut off two months ago, i am mad that they havent replied to any of the emails i sent asking about it, or the application itself.
 
I agree about the not fair part Everyone who wins should get the same thing...if inferno is the prize then inferno if something else is the prize then everyone should get that prize. For the Costume Contest.

Now the Spinning contest is another story I understand and think it is fair to have different prizes for different spins.

BUT they should have more rooms so things move faster less loss connections etc.

I am going to across sounding incredibly mean to some people who do not know me that well, but I am just being honest with my own opinion. No flames please. :earsboy:

How do you know your CL application has not been looked at? Did they tell you this? I am asking because, as far as I know, they are not sending out emails telling you that you were denied as a CL. Perhaps you were not accepted because they already have as many CL's as are needed right now? :confused3

If you really, really are fed up with VMK, maybe you should consider taking a break. Why cause yourself more aggravation? It makes no sense to get all worked up over an online game. Just take a break and come back to VMK after you feel relaxed enough over the recent event's downfalls. :wizard:

I think VMK's saying "ghosts" caused some trouble was very appropriate. They admitted they had technical difficulties causing this problem and the explanation fit in with the current theme.

I think the prizes for the costume contest are excellent. After months of everyone complaing and whining saying that they want Inferno, they want Inferno, they want Inferno...VMK awards it to those who have extremely unique costumes, and now people complain? :earseek: Give me a break! At other events, including those during beta, Inferno was given out and that has made it the popular and sought after item it is today. This is NO different.

Awarding Halloweenish type items for a HALLOWEEN contest is appropriate in my book. I would not expect them to give out anything different because the theme IS Halloween. :confused3

It really baffles me as to why everyone gets so incredibly hyped up and upset over things like this. If it bothers you all this much, just take a break from it! :) Go outside :moped: , read a book :teacher: , play with friends :grouphug: , cook a meal :drinking1 , do something active :moped: . VMK is a game and will always be a game so do not let it make you this upset! Life is too short! :umbrella:
 
I hope I don't get banned from VMK for my vent here, but maybe the staff shouild look at the success of other online games. Rather than completly ignore what gamers are saying and suggesting and/or complaining about, maybe they should acctually LOOK at what people are sending in for complaints instead of laughing at them. If they are trying to get more people to actually join the game, they should at least consider what the people playing the game are sending into the Black Hole.
 
look at star wars battlefront 2, its basically the same as what teh modders did to it and said they missed about the first game, lucasarts listened. if you want go look on their forums and mod maps, they are a precurser of the second game.

Unfortunately, most people see VMK as more than just a game. Once they get to know some of the players, preferably DIS club members, it becomes like a part of their life. Like an extended family. I know there are other things in life than this game, like work, school, volunteering at a museum and other extra-curricular activities.

It's a shame that some people just don't see it like that. :confused3

just as an FYI i play sports go to school and volunteer. :rolleyes:
 
Believe me I understand the frustration- after trying all day my son finally got into the room and crashed in line- it left my daughter (who is older and really more into VMK) in tears-

They both also waited a long time to get into the costume rooms- one was in a room with MousseDude- and I think that was a bit frustrating too- at least for one of them VMK_Flamingo awarded several prizes not just the one like I had seen others do.

I also agree the prizes should all be the same- or at least same themed- I mean when you compare someone who got a pumpkin and another who got Inferno- it is hard for some adults to understand much less the kids who are playing.

I sent a message to the black hole suggesting that they not do this type of event again that it is just too frustrating for the younger players. All week they have run this sort of game with the number generators- and although waits were long they weren't horrible- so instead of doing the game like that on one day- do it over two weeks at various times of day- then not everyone is online at once and more people actually stand a chance of winning something. And you don't have 7yo girls in tears about it all...

By the way I am currently in line for the 5th time and am 307th in line- I wonder how close I'll get before getting disconnected.

I give it one more time and then I'm increasing the mule population...

Look at the mobs of angry people on vmk forums, who spent hours today trying to get into the badly designed event. I have even read of a person who was so upset that she is considering not going to DLR for quests but sea world. Then the banning of CL_Adioskater for dressing up like staff for Halloween? Why? I have seen and reported players saying sexual comments and other sick things, and they get one day bans, then he dresses like staff and BOOM! He is banned till 2017. I would NEVER see this at a real Disney park, and why should your virtual parks be ANY different from the real ones?
