I hope I've done the right thing!

Just looking through my booking for this summer at HOJO Plaza and was amazed to see that they're offering a 25% discount if booking 3 nights or more. I'd already got a 10% discount with mouseears but this extra discount was too good to pass up.
I cancelled my booking and have now gone from a 2 Queen deluxe in building 2 to a 2 Queen premium (disney view) room for $104 less with the disney view upgrade.
Only downside now is I have to pay for the room outright and I cannot cancel or change the booking.

Have I done the right thing?

Isn't there still a chance that I won't get the disney view - I know its on the side of the building facing towards disney as opposed to the freeway - but looking at the map some of the rooms face towards another building?

Is it a one night's penalty if you had to cancel, the way they do that for the Retro Rate new cancellation policy, or is it outright payable in full with no cancellations or changes?


There is no chance you won't get the Disney view with the Premium Disney View Room booking, IMO.

This is the cancellation policy:
Cancellation Policy: There will be no credit or refund for early departures, cancellations, no shows, or changes in your reservation for any reason. Guests will not receive any refund or credit.

There's not likely to be more than a 25% discount for 30th July - 7th August I wouldn't have thought. Mind you, even if there were we were happy to pay the cost - 10% discount without a disney view, so with a 25% discount - even better.
The only way I'd have changed the booking would have been for a bigger discount, but then if I'd not looked I wouldn't have seen the 25% discount! The hotel and dates won't change.

I think I'm happy - its just its our 1st time and I want it to be really magical. Never stayed so close to a disney park before!!
