I Hope I Haven't Worn Out My Pixie Dust

So far, everything I've tried for at the seven month mark, I have gotten. We've stayed at HHI in the summer and BCV in the beginning of December. I called for a Tree House at 10 months out and got that. Today I called for a Boardwalk view studio at BW for November and it was available too

I worry a lot about not being able to get places at the 7 month mark but it hasn't been a problem so far. I read a lot of threads on the DIS and it makes me paranoid that nothing will be available. I just wanted to let people know who may be worriers like me that you may just get what you want.

Yes, there is always a chance. Happy that you have been lucky. Not everyone is.

It is pretty much fact that there are more people who do not get what they want during the more popular months than there are those who do. Space is limited. But those who call as soon as their window opens, and/or use the waitlist are often successful anyway. Always good to have a back up plan if your first choice isn't or doesn't become available.

That's good to hear. We made our first WL the end of March. It was for our reservation at BWV that we made at the 7 month mark at the same time. We couldn't get the first day we wanted. The WL came through within 3 days. I was worried that we used up all of our pixiedust for the rest of our DVC days. Especially since we had gotten a villa at BWV during F&W and then the WL came through so quickly. But hearing about your experiences makes me realize there is hope. Thanks for sharing.

Glad to hear that it has worked out for you. I just posted recently that I also had good luck. I just called at 7 month mark for BCV and got my reservation. Last year when we went I did the same for BLT and got that too. Our first year as DVC members we stayed at SSR on DP and couldn't change our location, but we enjoyed our stay there too! So far, so good for us too!

When in November are you going? We called on Saturday (7 month window) and BW view was not available. We have ressies for pool/garden and are waitlisted for BW view. We are going from Nov. 17 - 25.

Hope our waitlist comes through!!!!!
