I changed my hotel booking for my January trip today ! Up till this point there was no availability at the Disney hotels for my dates.....well today when I checked they were available, plus they were running a stay 3 get #4 free special, so for 4 nights at Paradise Pier it would cost ( out the door tax and fees included ) $479.37 for 4 nights including 2 weekend nights. I was planning on spending a little more than that on a nice 2 room suite at the Tropicana.

Because this was a special I had to commit and have it charged to my card today . I hope i made the right choice ! We have never stayed on property at DL.

I just returned from 5 days at Disneyland staying off-property (Anabella Hotel, close). The trip before this one we stayed at Paradise Pier. The only reason we stayed off-property this time was because all of the Disney rooms were booked.

I would have rather stayed with Disney, as it was we ate all of our meals except one at the park restaurants or in the Disney hotels.

I hated the Anahiem non-Disney shuttles. I'll do what I can to avoid them for the rest of my life. Dealing with non cast members after dealing with cast members all day comes as a rude shock to the system, especially at the end of the day when you're tired. It just popped that bubble I was so happy in.

When we stayed at Paradise Pier I asked for a room with a park view and recieved the upgrade at no additional expense just for the asking. You might try that.

I think you did the right thing.

The dates I searched were 1/4-1/8, and it was on Expedia. They were running the same special on all 3 resorts, but of course at a higher out the door price.

I sent you an email today, I didn't know you were just returning from Disneyland.......hopefully you can make another trip REAL soon. Did you see that United has airfare RT from Boi To LAX for $51 RT?

peagreenid, where did you find the $51 RT rate? I looked on United's website and couldn't find anything. It would be worth driving from Salt Lake to get that deal!

I found them on Travelocity. Unfortunately it was one of those 1day sales only and I figured it would be, which is why I called and emailed everyone that I knew that MIGHT want to go. I paid $133 for our tickets and that is a great rate from Boise as well. These with Taxes and fees came to $83.50. I would think that SLC would be a little cheaper yet.....especially since most of your flights are straight shots. Well, we'll be passing thru your fair city on Feb 8th........

Wow, those are great rates. But I hate flying via SLC.

I was excited to get 50.00 each way via Southwest for our March trip. We stop in Vegas, which is where I'm from so my sister will visit us for a bit at the airport.
