I hit the bookstore today...

and got Birnbaum's WDW For Kids. It cost $12.95.

I figure the kids can look at the pictures &/or ride descriptions and start to figure out their "must sees."


Why should I have all the fun?

Are any of those kids books good for a 4 year old??? My DS loves looking at books, and would love a Disney one!

The Guide to the Magic for Kids has a lot of interactive stuff. My 6yo was able to write her thoughts about each ride/attraction and fill out the journal pages in the back (there are prompts to respond to).

A 4yo could definitely benefit from the book though...you would just have to ask him his opinions and record them for him.

There is a sticker for each ride/attraction on property (don't know if they have added Toy Story Mania yet though), close up pictures to search for in each section of every park, flags to color in for World Showcase and a monorail check list of all the colors that exisit.

We all definitely had a lot of fun w/ the book!

The Birnbaum's for kids is definitely good for that age...my DS (5) can identify which section of the guide he wants to look at by the color edging in the margins. (KWIM? each park has a different color.) He also loves looking at any and all maps ("Big Thunder is over here, next to Splash Mountain...but Buzz is wayyyy over there...." )

My oldest and youngest children have each gone through the books, initialing the attractions they especially want to see. My 5 year old relied heavily on the pictures, but she's enjoying the book; she took it to bed with her and fell asleep with it in her arms.
