DH and I loved it. I think it was my favorite "meal" of our trip. We both got the Buckingham Palace tea with a side of the Sally Lunn bread. Mmm Mmm!

It defintely takes the place of lunch. We started with tea (I had the Eros, which has orange/vanilla flavors and DH had the Harmony, which was minty). We had 5 tea sandwiches and a small onion tartlet, which was very yummy.

Then, we were served a white raisin scone with devonshire cream and strawberry jam, and a raspberry tart. Delicious!

After that, I had the strawberries and cream and DH had 2 pastries. The strawberries were incredibly fresh and super sweet.

This will always be a MUST DO in the future for us.

Thanks for the review. I've heard lots of good things about the tea, and its on my list for my solo trip in September.

Thanks for the review! I think I'll have to do this on my June trip. :cool1:

Thanks for the review. I will be doing this at the end of the month! Can't wait to give it a try!

This is a must do for every girls' trip we go on. We're looking forward to getting my niece in on the act come September. The scones at the GF are the best I've ever had.

I know my DM would love it. Will have to look into it, Thanks for the recommendation!!

what restaurant is the tea at in the gf. is there a menu somewhere. thanks

Is it a "girly" thing? Just wondering if my dh and ds would want to go, or if it should be a mother/daughter thing....

My DH really enjoyed it. In fact, he even asked me to book it again for our next trip.
That said, I'm not sure a child would enjoy it.....:confused3
Depending on the age of your DS, GF has a Pirate Cruise for kids, that might let you and DH have some alone time.

My ds is 8, and dd is 5. She loves girly things, and we've done teas and tea parties before...
I think she would love it, but I'm just wondering about ds and dh...

Thank you so much. I was just about to place a thread asking about the Afternoon Tea. I am going with my dd(2), dm and Aunt in March. I thought this would be a nice treat for my mom and Aunt. I'd love to do it as well but with a two year old, I think it may be too slow paced. I am definitely going to book now!

It is a little girly, but both my hubby and my father love it anyway. They think it's relaxing. Hubby is the sensitive musician type, but Dad is a beer drinking sports lover. :rotfl2:

Am taking my mum here on the day before my wedding as a surprise, i know she ll love it:lovestruc . We ve been to the Ritz for Afternoon Tea before & she loved getting all dressed up for that so figured this would be a nice relaxing way to spend some time together before my big day comes:thumbsup2. I ve read nothing but great reviews about this experience so am sure we ll have a great time
