maybe you should have dabbed some freckles in lightly on her nose.. and made her hair slightly curlier.. but.. I LOVE IT!

I am going to add the freckles right before I frame it (so they won't smudge).

As for the hair, I decided to leave it straight (the pic is when she curled it for dance recital) and her hair is normally very straight.

I'm not good at drawing from a picture, I either draw when I'm looking at them, or from memory of just having looked at them. That is much better than I could do. I'm sure she'll love it.

ideas:

add her necklace or shade in her collar bone a little more. I always feel like i'm missing something with a flat neck, shoulder area. I like to have something interesting right there to bring the eyes down from her face to ehr shirt smoothly if that made sence.

and

a little more shading under her chin. it is something you didn't realize youre missing until you see it there.

just a few ideas. either way, i think it looks fantastic. I'm sure she'll love it.
