Hi Guys
Just to let you know I have'nt forgotten to write my trip report, I am putting in all on word spreadsheet first and then I will paste it as soon as I finished. I am really busy downloading all the photos and I am doing as much as I can in the evenings as I am back in work this week
I have completed my cruise report including photos as it was smaller, although I have still managed to write up 4 parts so goodness knows how long the resort and parks will take me.
Anyway if any of you are interested in reading my cruise report it is over on the cruise trip reports forum, sorry I dont know how to paste the threads here. It is in 4 parts and there are some photos as well. Just to give you a bit of background this was a suprise cruise for my daughter who was celebrating her 14th birthday.
The holiday was fabulous and we had wonderful weather for the whole 2 weeks we were there. The cruise was the icing on the cake. We stayed at the All Star Sports for 3 nights cruised for 4 then back to the All Stars for another 7 nights.
We visited all the parks, including the water parks, downtown Disney and The Wide World of Sports.
We were very lucky to be almost the last flight to leave Orlando before the Airports closed due to the weather.
We flew with My Travel and in my honest opinion I would not touch them with a bargepole again. We used them for the convience of flying from our local airport, but to be truthful with you I would rather travel up to Gatwick or Manchester to use someone else. For those of you who had read my threads on my earlier problems with them, the flight was awful. The seat pitch is tiny and we were so cramped, I am not a tall person at all and felt very sorry for most passengers who were taller than 5ft 2ins.
I sat in my seat on the aircraft going over, put my hands down the side of the chair to find the seatbelt and then realised that my trousers and fingers were covered with melted chocolate from the previous flight. I then pulled down the lap tray only to find it caked with food and crumbs. I asked the attendent for a wet cloth and when she had not returned 15 mins later I walked to the back of the Aircraft to ask again, I was presented with a damp cloth and pretty much left to it.
We were told that there would be a selection of inflight entertainment including comedy programmes, cartoons for the kids and three movies, all we got was 2 movies. One not even suitable for children. We were an hour late taking off and then when we landed at Sanford we had missed our slot for the park up and had to sit on the runway for 45 minutes. When we eventually got into the treminal I thought I had joined the queue for R/R coaster on new years day it was so long. Nearly 2 hours later we boarded our coach for the the hour journey to the hotel.
The rest of the holiday was fab but I have to say I was not looking forward to the 9 hour journey back on that small cramped aircraft.
Anyway to finish on a positive note we have decided to go back for Christmas 2005 for a weeks Western Cruise with Disney, which was out of this world and a weeks resort stay.
I am going to attempt to book all these individually myself, so if anybody can advise me on a better airline to fly with I would be grateful.
I will post a full report asap.
Sue
